I don't think heat is such an issue as the train looks ventilated. However taking into consideration the number of services and crowd, closing the doors at each station will be possible if guards are assigned

Drilling mountains is easy but removing encroachment along the tracks from Karjat to Mumbai is impossible. All of them are going to get free houses from Maharashtra Government.

Drill those mountains and build a bloody extra railway line instead. That will be more helpful. Run RRTS between Mumbai and Pune. It will probably be the busiest railway in the world.

Metro runs on time. AC locals are running late minimum by 15 minutes and one train every hour. It is an insult to passengers. The revenue will increase because you take 8-10 times more than a second class ticket. Nowhere in the world you pay that high just for air-conditioning.

@MumbaikarMe21 AC EMU is compared with non ac EMU as the only difference is air conditioning. In a car of 4 persons, AC adds 1 Rupee per km but EMU it is Rs 10 vs Rs 95

Petrol was cheaper in the US & Canada and many developing countries compared to India before 28th Feb. EU is always expensive.
India was charging a high price to subsidize many things to 800 million people who CLAIM to be poor and are poor for getting votes for the government.
