My first paper as a postdoc in the lab David Drew is out
Check-out the.first structure of a unique transporter which is regulated by a voltage sensing domain.
Great team work!!
My first paper with @CPaulino_ lab just published in @Nature 🤯: Cryo-EM structures of the sperm-specific SLC9C1, a unique hyperpolarisation-activated transporter! Excellent work by first author @VKalienkova - glad to be part of this team!

Once in a while, a lab achievement stands out. The discovery of #TASL as new target in the #IRF5 proinflammatory pathway and in #lupus was such a case. Now, just three years after, we report on a highly specific TASL-inhibitory chemical compound, called #feeblin.
Choline! We need it to make membranes and acetylcholine, & for DNA/protein methylation.
Our brains need a LOT of it! 🧠
We show that FLVCR2 transports choline into the brain & solved its structure in the OFS & IFS with choline bound. 🐀🔬
Check it out! https://t.co/M09PQ4ffas
Grateful to have presented the latest research on human OATP1B transporters at the 'Unlocking Transporters for Drug Discovery' Conference and for receiving the poster prize in memory of Daniel Lackner from @RESOLUTE_IMI. Thank you
How to describe the feeling of elation, gratitude, communality, accomplishment at the final RESOLUTE @RESOLUTE_IMI conference? Such cool science from all wonderful speakers and SAB members and work package leaders and posters. Transporters are now more amenable drug targets!
Excited to share the latest publication on the human liver drug importers OATP1B1 and OATP1B3 in functionally distinct states, now available in
@NatureComms .Fantastic collaboration with Kossiakoff lab @UChicago
