Why am I so hopeful and optimistic about the future of the Jewish people?

I’ll tell you why. It’s because of a story in the Talmud.

The story goes as follows.

Four rabbis made their way to Jerusalem.

The rabbis were Rabban Gamliel, Rabbi Elazar ben Azaria, Rabbi Joshua and Rabbi Akiva.

When they reached Mt. Scopus, they tore their garments out of mourning.

When they reached the Temple Mount, they saw a fox emerging from the place of the Holy of Holies. Three of them started weeping; Rabbi Akiva laughed.

The three rabbis asked Rabbi Akiva: "Why are you laughing?”

He answered them with a question: "Why are you weeping?"

What do you mean?, they asked him.

This is our holiest place and now there are wild animals walking here! That’s a terrible tragedy.

He replied to them. “That is exactly why I am laughing.

We knew this was going to happen. It is literally written in the prophecies.

The prophets predicted this was going to happen. It literally says “And foxes will walk there (the place of the temple.)”

So long as that prophecy didn’t come to fruition, I feared that the good prophecies won’t either. Now that I see this fox walking here, now that I see that prophecy come true, I know the rest will also come true.”

They replied to him: "Akiva, you have consoled us! Akiva, you have consoled us!"

So why does this story make me so optimistic?

Because what we are seeing today should not come as a surprise to someone who studied the Torah and the Talmud.

We knew the nations of the world will turn against Israel. It is literally written in our sources. As long as that didn’t come true, I didn’t know that the rest, the good prophecies, would come true.

Now that I see the world turn on us, now that I see how backward our world is, I know that, just as the Talmud says, we are close to the days of Mashiach.

In other words, we know how this ends and if you don’t, allow me to tell you.

Those people, those countries that are now turning on the Jews, scapegoating us, and persecuting us? They will join the many empires that came after us and disappeared into the footnotes of history books.

This ends well for us, the Jewish people. Not so much for our enemies.

When we say Am Yisrael Chai, that is not some empty phrase. It is a historical reality that the Jewish people live on, while those who came after us disappeared.

Sure, things are rough now. Things are scary. Foxes are walking all over us, but just like we have this promise, now we can know that the rest of the promises will also come true.

But all of that also leads me to have another thought.

Since this is indeed prophesized, that means it was inevitable. That means that those who are part of that prophecy, those who are hating on us now? They are just tools who were destined by God to be the miserable human beings that they are.

These people and their memes of Jews with big noses, their blood libels, and their Jew-hating marches? They think they’re so special.

They think it’s them making the decision to hate Jews, but it is not. They are just tools at the hands of God and they are also tools by which the Mashiach will ultimately arrive and redeem the Jews.

So, you foolish tools, keep hating on us. All you’re doing is bringing the Mashiach faster. All you’re doing is making Jews worldwide more “Jew-y” as we are promised will happen.

The prophecy says that all Jews will come back to Israel. Just a few years ago that would have been impossible to imagine. But now, thanks to Mamdani and friends, Jews are beginning to realize they need to come home.

A few years ago, I could never have imagined so many Jews returning to their heritage. Now it’s happening daily because of these fools.

All you low lives responsible for making our world so upside down and backward, thank you for following the script. The Talmud promised us that right before Mashiach comes, the world’s moral compass will break.

Just like God hardened Pharoah’s heart and made him refuse to let the Israelites go and was then punished, God is doing the same thing with you right now.

He has hardened your hearts to hate the Jews so that, just like in Egypt, He will redeem and rescue us, and you, my friends (We’re not friends, it’s an expression.) you will disappear and become a footnote in the history books children will one day study.

And as they do, as they learn about your pathetic existence, they will remember you like the world today remembers the mustache man in Germany.

History will shame you for eternity, so just keep it up.

Mashiach is on the way and for that, we owe you a huge thank you.
