Brief Biography
Dr. Adefolaseye Adebomi Adebayo, MBChB, FWACS, FMC-ORL, is a medical doctor, ENT and Head & Neck Surgeon, postgraduate medical lecturer, community health advocate, humanitarian and public servant, and NDC candidate for Surulere 1 Federal Constituency.

Her journey has been shaped by one guiding principle: “Leadership begins with service to humanity.”

Her educational journey began in Lagos at Olufunmilayo Nursery & Primary School, Ikeja, Victory Home School, Ikeja, and Bola Memorial Primary School, Abule Onigbogbo. She attended Army Day Secondary School, Enugu, and Special Senior Science School, Nsukka, before proceeding to the University of Ilorin and later institutions including the University of Ibadan, Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Sciences, and the University of Lagos Teaching Hospital (LUTH) for postgraduate specialist training.

Over the years, Dr. Adebayo has built an extensive medical career across public hospitals, specialist ENT practice, medical education and private healthcare. She has served at General Hospital, Ibeju-Lekki, General Hospital, Lagos Island, General Hospital, Harvey Road, Yaba, and General Hospital, Isolo, while also contributing to postgraduate training and continuing medical education for doctors.

Healthcare Contributions

Her contribution to healthcare goes beyond treating patients. She played a role in establishing a structured ENT clinic at General Hospital, Harvey Road, Yaba, and has contributed to the advancement of specialised ear surgery within the Lagos General Hospitals.

she and her ENT colleague from the Middle East (Saudi Arabia) performed the First middle ear endoscopic surgeries in Lagos Health Service commission at General Hospital, Isolo.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she developed the infection-control protocol for ENT services serving General Hospital, Lagos and General Hospital, Yaba, that kept all the workers of both hospitals safe and as such none ot the staffs got infected with the COVID 19 Virus.

Her medical expertise has also been used for humanitarian service.

In 2026 :Performed the #65Free Adeno Tonsillectomy Surgeries Initiative, to celebrate his Excellency Peter Obi,s 65th birthday where more than 100 children were screened and eligible children received free specialist surgeries. That costs over N200 million Naira if they were paid for.
She has also supported students through scholarships, participated in medical outreaches and,
in 2022, Provided a community borehole in Alimosho helping children to stop going late to school

Beyond medicine, Dr. Adebayo has used media platforms to educate the public on healthcare and community development, reflecting her belief that professionals should not only practise their professions but also contribute to society.

Today, she is taking her philosophy of service into politics as the NDC candidate for Surulere 1 Federal Constituency.

I genuinely think Man City will be kicked out of the Premier League if the reported 114 guilty findings stand after appeal. Because if they’re allowed to carry on with a punishment they can shrug off, how can anyone trust the integrity of the competition?

Everton lost 8 points across two admitted PSR breaches. City’s case covers alleged breaches over years, on a completely different scale, including charges that they failed to cooperate with the investigation. The case has dragged on for years while City carried on competing and spending. How could a fine or a points deduction they comfortably survive be enough?

I think United, Liverpool, Arsenal and other clubs would be furious. They’d want to know why they had to follow the rules and compete against City all those years, only for the eventual punishment to change virtually nothing or something that only sets them back a season. Their fans would be asking the same question.

The Premier League would then have to defend the fairness of its own competition to its biggest clubs and millions of their supporters. I don’t think it would want that. Letting City off lightly could do more damage to the league than kicking them out.
