Your physique is a reflection of how you live
Hypothetical: You’re the owner of an MLB team. I offer to take $0 salary and sign a minor league contract and go to Low A.
If the “he sucks now” crowd is right and I get lit up, you cut me, lose $0 and there’s no risk to the big league club.
If the “clubhouse cancer” crowd is right, you see it immediately at Low A and cut me. You lose $0 and there’s no risk to the big league club.
If there’s massive negative PR, which we already know there won’t be, you just cut me and move on. The story is dead in a couple days, you lose $0, and there’s no risk to the big league club.
But, assuming none of those things happen, which they obviously wouldn’t, if you like what you see, you can promote me to AA and re evaluate me there. Then AAA. Then the big leagues. If I earn it, which you’d be 100% in control of deciding. If you don’t think I’m good enough, you lose $0 and there’s no risk to the big league club.
You could take away my “antics”. You could take away my social media. You could ask anything of me. If I don’t comply, you cut me, lose $0, and there’s no risk to the big league club.
What logical reason is there to not do this? At worst, you cut me and there’s no risk to the big league club. At best, you get a Cy Young winner for $0 who you know can still pitch and could help the big league team if and when you see fit.
MY FUCKING ALARMS D I D N O T GO OFF THIS MORNING AND I AM COMPETELY FUCKED. @apple FUCKING FIX THIS. I MIGHT BE FIRED. I WOKE UP AND THE ALARMS WERE SILENTLY GOING OFF.
I'm so sick of people pretending they know what Trump voters voted for. When I voted for Trump, I voted for a president who would do whatever he believes is necessary to protect America and keep us strong at home and abroad. If that includes taking out threats like Iran when needed, then so be it. I support him. Don’t speak for me.
One of my favorite quotes is the one from Marcus Aurelius: ‘The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts.’
I think it’s always good to remember it.
I benched 315.
Made six figures.
Had the wife. The kids. The house.
I still didn't feel like a man.
I thought if I just got stronger, richer, more respected—the feeling would come.
It didn't.
I'd look in the mirror and see a fraud.
A boy wearing a man's body.
Here's what nobody told me:
Manhood isn't built in the gym.
It's not in your bank account.
It's not in your testosterone levels.
Manhood is built on your knees.
Adam wasn't called a man because he was strong.
He was called a man because God gave him responsibility.
A garden to keep.
A woman to protect.
A command to obey.
He failed all three.
And every man since has been trying to earn back what Adam lost.
You don't feel like a man because you're measuring manhood by the world's standard.
Strength. Money. Status. Conquests.
God measures differently.
Does your family feel safe under your leadership?
Do your children know what you believe?
Does your wife trust your direction?
Are you building something that will outlast you?
That's manhood.
Not the weight on the bar.
The weight on your shoulders—carried willingly.
I never knew until today what David meant in Psalm 23 when he said, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.” Nowhere does it say he stopped to wonder why he was in the valley. It simply says he walked through. Let me tell you this: now is not the time to figure out why you’re going through the valley. Just trust God and keep walking. No matter what circumstances you face, keep believing God is working on your behalf. There’s something waiting at the end of the valley.
We all want the results.
But God does some of His best work in the hard, hidden places. The days you show up tired.
The moments you feel unseen.
The steps you take when no one is watching.
Don’t run from the grind—embrace it.
Michael Jordan:
"I'm pretty sure I'm part of the reason why everybody tries to get a logo…But the thing is, that brand was established based on what I did on the basketball court. I didn't put the brand before I put the work."

The Dallas Stars have gone to three straight Western Conference Finals. They have now started the year 17-5-4 despite making a coaching change and dealing with plenty of injuries to key players. They play in a full arena every night. We are living in a golden era of Stars hockey.
