I introduced the No Immunity for Glyphosate Act.
Thank you @chelliepingree, @RepBoebert, @RepNancyMace, @RepRoKhanna for sponsoring.
If we’re Making America Healthy Again, government shouldn't be promoting glyphosate and providing liability immunity for corporations making it.
Trump just signed an Executive Order giving legal immunity to the company that makes Roundup.
The same Roundup that's been linked to cancer.
The same Roundup that's sprayed on the food you feed your kids.
Here's what the order actually does:
Declares glyphosate a "national defense necessity."
Invokes a wartime emergency law to protect its domestic producer.
Grants them full legal immunity.
And legally PROHIBITS regulators from doing anything that threatens that company's bottom line.
One company.
Legal immunity.
Untouchable by regulators.
Wrapped in a flag and called national security.
MAHA crowd, I need you to be honest with yourselves right now.
If Obama did this for Monsanto, you'd have burned the internet down.
And the same conservatives screaming about "government overreach" are dead silent because their guy signed it.
This isn't MAHA.
This is crony capitalism with a bulletproof vest.
The government isn't protecting your food supply.
They're protecting one company's profit margin.
They Both Suck.
What's it going to take before people stop cheering for their team long enough to see what's actually happening?
