Its been a heavy past couple week on pediatrics

In ~ 14 days I:
-Wrote death certificate for teen d/t cancer
-Reported physical abuse to CPS after routine HEADSS exam
-Discharged infant w amphetamines in urine to alternate family member d/t c/f child neglect
-Witnessed a teen severely deteriorate d/t OUD est @ 13y.

Newly incapacitated patient trying to leave AMA x 1000 so I requested he be moved to a room away from entrance.

Patient upset (for many reasons) but at least would like to move rooms to sleep better at night. Glad I didn't have to fight that fight.

Even if I wasn't also married, a dog mom of two, and active at my church, there is always a space for grace and self love.
