Our new paper on regulation of RNA Capping Enzyme by CTD of #RNA#Polymerase II is out in Nucleic Acids Research! Excellent work by PhD student @Marcus_Bage and great collaboration with Vicky Cowling’s lab @Vichaico.

Please RT! Recruiting 4 postdocs to work on a collaborative project between Dundee, Oxford (@G_Charras) and UCL (@juliayeomans)
To apply:
Dundee: https://t.co/lCqAapSKEI and https://t.co/TlmLlzKjNu
Oxford: https://t.co/WKht4fhbSb
UCL: https://t.co/2P13zX5VOa
Our work from @UZDundee group on PorB is now available in @BBAjournals! This interdisciplinary collaboration utilises X-ray crystallography, electrophysiology & MD simulations to study porin-based drug-resistance in Gram-negative bacteria @UoDLifeSciences https://t.co/BQblwlalQj
Latest collaborative research from @AndreiPisliakov & @Vichaico has identified novel interaction sites on the mRNA Capping Enzyme that are essential for its activity. Work published in @NAR_Open with @Marcus_Bage first author 👏

We also offer a new perspective on the evolutionary basis of this interaction and discuss palindromic nature of the CTD code, a previously overlooked feature. This will have implications for how other binding partners interact with the CTD, reading and writing the CTD code.
Delighted to see my first first author paper online today! We use simulations to find RNA PolII CTD binding sites on the mRNA Capping Enzyme and uncover their vital role in allosteric activation. Of interest to anyone using MD to study PPIs and allostery! https://t.co/At9tijIsXq
The violence against peaceful protesters in Belarus is appalling. The UK does not accept the results of this fraudulent Presidential election & calls for an urgent investigation through @OSCE into its serious flaws & the grisly repression that followed. https://t.co/VPJ4yrTCXZ
Excellent interview with Oxford #COVID19 vaccine project leader Professor Adrian Hill

He warns against 'over-promising', as #coronavirus vaccine success is far from guaranteed
Simulation of the membranes of an entire mitochondrion !
See how more than 5 million lipids are organized in this amazingly complex organelle ...

Our manuscript with @stuartmac44@bartongrp@UoDLifeSciences identifies gnomAD and unobserved variants likely to enhance or inhibit SARS-CoV-2 binding and genetic risk in #COVID-19. Also discusses engineering ACE2 as a possible therapy. @biorxivpreprint https://t.co/917EGKKSBZ
