We’re asking our neighbours living next to the railway to help us keep lines open by securing loose garden furniture, trampolines or sheds which could be blown onto tracks.

Preparations are well underway, with Network Rail’s response teams and engineers carrying out proactive checks at known flood sites, and teams will be on standby ready to respond to any flooding, fallen trees or debris and damage to our infrastructure.

Trains on the Highland Main Line, Kilwinning – Ayr/Largs, Stranraer and Aberdeen-Dundee lines will also be slowed down during the storm’s peak.

55mph wind gusts are forecast widely, with 60mph+ in the West Highlands and Ayrshire, and 70mph between Inverness and Kyle.
