@ChitownMike312@CollinJHumphrey Mike - start a construction company. Do it all above board, pay competitive wages plus full labor burden, cover thousands a month in overhead, charge $15k for bathroom remodels, and see how fast you go out of business.
@BMamtel@LearnDIY_ You literally drill through the substrate to install it in the first place, and then you waterproof the screw holes. This is no different. This is how it’s done.
@MapleStax Ok, but when you’re done renting at the end of five years you own nothing and have nothing to show for it, but when you’ve paid your mortgage for five years you have equity. Renting is throwing your money down the drain month after month.
@realEstateTrent I’ve pretty much built my construction business on this very premise, show up on time and follow through on my word. It’s super easy to do these things if you make it a priority and it’s literally the lowest hanging fruit to begin establishing a good reputation.
@Tusk_4Real It’s worth asking, did the generations before us have sleepovers as well, or was this just more of an 80s/90s thing? I honestly don’t know.
@fab92161@Viralfizz Because a rough framed room with 8’ ceiling is usually around 96.75 inches, meaning there’s a small gap around 0.5 -1 inch left over when you stack two 48 inch pieces of drywall. The drywall gap needs to be at the floor not the ceiling.
