@light_don@LouStagner I'd definitely be interested to get more data about the actual contributors rather than just their shots. I haven't taken time to look if this data is publicly available, I have simply seen badic statements of 600mill+ and assumed the lack of detail is because it doesn't exist
@light_don@LouStagner I think you make a good point Don. You reference the paying hundreds of dollars, but perhaps there should be more understanding about the people who buy and use this technology. Where they are on their "golfing journey" etc. Do they play differently because they are tracking?
@4golfonline Is your suggestion that 2 very (i.e. L-Flex, Low Kick vs S-Stiff, High Kick) different shafts will make little difference to the data from a launch monitor? Or are you suggesting that Reg vs Stiff of the same shaft will make little if no difference to the data?
@Statto1927 @SteveCarrollNCG After 20 rounds does your HI fully revert to being calculated and the adjustment made no longer in effect? I think WHS does this which (IMO) is much better than previous committee adjustments which last for ever.
@Statto1927 @SteveCarrollNCG Depending on CR/Slope and PCC 10 better than HI would be quite possible from 44 points. It also sounds as though you are someone who just had a great game. WHS already has calculations build in (exceptional adjustments) yet your committee decided that wasn't enough. Why? 2/2
@Statto1927 @SteveCarrollNCG Is there more context behind this Simon? Typically 44 points in a comp (remembering 95%) would almost certainly have received the standard 1 shot exceptional adjustment (where differential is 7 shots better than HI) and perhaps the standard 2 shots (10 better than HI) 1/2
@paraparaumupaul@YettyGolf "Known or virtually certain" is already part of the rules of golf. My point is that if there were to be a change to the rules then this would be an option of how the rule could be written since the terminology is already used.
@YettyGolf While the rules say so - absolutely. When/if they change the rules even better. Feels like we are getting closer to a change each year though (I remember when we had to play from our own indentation and "just play it as it lies" was argued about that too) #progress
