@britishmuseum You're normally open until 9pm on Fridays. For the first half of 2027 you should do that Monday-Saturday, to maximise viewing time for the Bayeux Tapestry. I'm confident that doing so would be very profitable for the BM.
What an insane policy. If insurance companies wouldn't insure me to drive, we'd think that I should stop driving - not that my victims should pay the costs of any accidents I caused.
Bully XL owners no longer have to insure their dogs.
Why?
Because the Dogs Trust stopped offering the insurance and no one else will... so DEFRA is just cancelling the requirement.
Why won't Dogs Trust insure them? Too many claims, the insurance wasn't viable.
I wonder why.
TL,DR: We've translated EU environmental law into UK law, and "breaking the law" is our translation of an EU legal concept which doesn't really make sense in the new context, but which is considerably less serious than we ordinarily think "breaking the law" is
@santanderuk I've confirmed to you over the phone that transactions in Amsterdam are genuine and you're continuing to block me from withdrawing money from my account. I need to pay for my hostel this evening!
A long day of queuing completed - was wonderful to be able to pay my respects to a woman who bore so much responsibility for so long. Getting to sleep in my own bed tonight is an unexpected bonus. God save the king!
Just seen @metpoliceuk restrain a person on Great Smith Street, Westminster. Very effective use of force to ensure full safety for themselves and for the general public. Well done and thank you!
Other possible-tubes for your consideration:
-The postal train (train, wholly underground, but doesn't carry people)
-The Jam (not a train but it did go underground, in London, and is something a lot of teenagers go through)
@JackDeeth@kvisleis Yep, I wanted to include that but it was very hard to create a second row entirely out of trains, so any category would have been even more obviously gerrymandered.
This feels like an odd criticism. Allowing houses to be upsized will be an immense benefit to people who like living in London but also want to start families. It's not a silver bullet to solve affordability, and no-one sensible is claiming that it is.
