@John_Stepek We have reached a tipping point where more than half of voters receive more in benefits than they pay in tax.
Therefore logical that higher taxes will gain votes in a vicious circle towards more socialism.
@KirstieMAllsopp@Trader__007 And this is how it starts. 1% of houses £2M, £2500-7500
Then it’s £1.5m, £5000-10,000.
Then inevitable QE inflates values and the drag captures top 20% of houses.
Then the initial 500 hired inspectors grows to 5000, knocking on doors, snooping around peoples houses.
@UKLabour Run the numbers for setting up an independent cafe, restaurant or kids play space. That’s why we only get Greggs, vape shops and betting shops
@FundsmithLLP Wow. Were these companies in your investable universe before this change? Some of those have 5Xed in a few years, hope now is still a good time to buy.
@cperruna Ok but if you’re a 200MA/40wkMA guy then isn’t it trim below the line and add above it? In which case you’d be trimming at 180 and buying at 240?
@moneyandmore72 His main thesis that passive is driving up mag 7 seems so shallow. These are the proven best companies in the world on PE 25, growing 20% with hundreds of billions flowing in each month. He is all-in on companies with PE 25 barely growing 10%. Still holding, but not happy lol
@lynk0x What if you have all those fancy things and actually enjoy your job? Plodding around in the hills with a Walmart T-shirt doesn’t sound that fun
@moneyandmore72 I check the funds holdings on a daily basis and it honestly feels like it goes up less on good days and down more bad days, like every day. It’s my largest holding and feels wrong to sell as could soon be in favour again soon-don’t want to be the fool who reduces at the low point
