@MattMollica A few notable clubs have recently paved the way with somewhat of a “circuit breaker” for their vegetation. The irony is that we’re all fighting for the same thing without even realising - beautiful, native biodiversity that complements what it is that it frames.
@mikeclaytongolf@Lesterredux Like Clayts says, doubt it was foresight, but one of the few courses that has stood the test of time against technology so well. Just exemplifies how good RM is!
@mikeclaytongolf@TurfgrassZealot Wouldn’t surprise me at something like a Nine Bridges or the likes; assuming you’re visiting a private club in South Korea..?
Pitch marks don’t worry me so much - they’re a good reminder I need to firm my greens up 🙂
@cdpgolf1@mikeclaytongolf Exceptionally dry summer in Melbourne - great for golf, tough for growing grass. Good reminder why fairways were transitioned from cool-season to warm-season grasses in the 80’s/90’s.
@mikeclaytongolf@vanDiemenChris@DeVriesDesigns@cdpgolf1 Soil is a big determining factor. Not great in surrounds at Ranfurlie. Striving for a mix of couch and fescue - fescue dominance in cooler months and couch lessening the pressure for a ‘perfect’ fescue turf sward in summer. Either way, plenty of bounce for club and ball!
@mikeclaytongolf@BenMalach@scott___warren@AusGolfPassport Any golf is good golf - regardless of architectural integrity.. I guess.
But golf media in Australia is in a scary place.
Although YouTube gaining popularity, too many are afraid to be unbiased or critical where needed.
The sale of Foxtel could foster something exciting.
RACV Healesville, Victoria, Australia.
Renovated by @mikeclaytongolf & colleagues.
"It’s rare for a course of 5,600 yards to be of interest to better golfers... The redesign of Healesville proved it can be done and done with flair." - Tom Doak

@AdobeCare Or… you know, you could take on the feedback and improve the process. I’ll pass on wasting my time talking to a bot in “one-on-one support”.
@creativecloud@Adobe PLEASE make it easier to increase sync storage! No matter the way I go about it, I’ve been unsuccessful. Seemingly I can not upgrade my plan without canceling first.
