@Rackspace Why would there be any customer for whom you have recovered less than 100% of their data? Are you trying to say that you do not have a working backup system?
@malagasmith@Rackspace Would it be better for clients to be able to mark each mailbox as high/med/low priority for PST download? We are receiving client mailboxes we would call low priority. That computing resource could have been used on the ones we consider high priority to everyone's advantage.
@ymmotrojam@Rackspace We didn't use Outlook's import feature. We connected the PST as a data file and drag-dropped the data from the PST to the live mailbox (on the new provider). That worked.
My analysis says that at least 14,572 domains moved away from #Rackspace post #ransomware incident. If you follow my Mastodon account you can see how I computed this, but basically it involved trawling through hundreds of millions of MX records!
@NodeSpace@benn683@Rackspace But if @Rackspace had reliable and robust backup systems in place then it would not matter how @rackspace were attacked. @racckspace could simply spin-up their backups and let their clients access all mailbox data from the backup system. No?
