“Endure hardship as discipline.”
There are few sentences in the Bible more relevant to your daily life.
- Kids going crazy?
- Work is exhausting?
- Tough conversation with your spouse?
Good.
This is where your faith grows.
If you will embrace it, God will make you a better man for it.
Rather than being depressed because life is hard, you can find peace knowing God is forming you.
If you make Christlikeness your goal in life, you can welcome difficult times with a smile.
Hard days become your friend.
The grandpa you laughed at behind his back for letting you watch violent war movies as a kid, but who freaked out about the Disney show where the kid had 2 Dads... that guy was right.
There was evil in the war movie, but it was generally evil depicted AS EVIL in a great struggle between good and evil, and it trained the consciences of a generation to value things like...
- Valor
- Self-sacrifice
- Courage
- Integrity
- Honor
- Patriotism (yes, patriotism IS a good thing)
My Dad used to say, "The worst kind person is the guy who was born on third and acts like he hit a triple."
Be wise, but watch a war movie with your kids today and help your American kid understand they were born on third base because a bunch of people died to get them three bases ahead.
44-year-old grandfather Philip Rivers had the Colts leading 16-15 over the Seahawks with 47 seconds remaining in Seattle under a week after unretiring.
The same Seahawks who will end up being Super Bowl champions.
Football is an incredible, crazy sport.
@xxJCONxx@DevyEusuf I’ve found that odd and thought of that recently as well… should be overseeing between both sides of the ball. Tough to give full attention to defense when you’re planning your next offensive drive. The DC is essentially another head coach in that scenario
@MrBlueShoe@derek_larger Unfortunately most Colts fans follow the popular narratives being pushed and seem to take things to the extreme. Always easier to find a scapegoat and let emotions charge drastic changes. I recognize we haven’t won in a decade, but this years performance warrants 1 more year
@Pete4E@cirsay@KalenIJackson I respect that. I’d personally like to see one more year and bring in more competition like last offseason and see what happens. But it would be a hard “playoffs or gone” situation. Had their regime tied to AR but then hear we are 🙃
@billysnickel30@tonydindy@cirsay Which I totally understand, but I’d say the NFC South is the most winnable by far. I posted the reason on my profile, but in short, I think the first half of the season gives him one more prove it year getting everyone back healthy and make offseason changes. Historic beginning
