I have decided to leave X / Twitter but time for one last rant. Tonight's train journey home was diabolical. @CrossCountryUK had put on 2 carriages (usually a cosy 4) and it was beyond uncomfortable : barely enough space to stand & nowhere to hold on to. See it and sort it out!
Watching the England vs Colombia match : two observations: the Columbians are very physical/ aggressive and secondly- I'm surprised by the Aussie level of support. May the Lionesses rise π
@jowhiley@cypresshill@boardmasters Totally agree with you about Bridgewater Services- it is hell on earth. Too many people crammed into an impossibly small and poorly designed space.
RIP Sinead O'Connor.
She took a Prince song and made it her own and turned it into one the biggest hits of a new decade.
Took on the church when people were too afraid and knew it could (and would) destroy her career.
I couldn't agree more. I was a sympathiser when JM got screwed over previously- but this just demonstrates how out of touch he and the Government are. And yes, I would say it to his face and not hide behind a keyboard.
Under Johnson, Tory MP Johnny Mercer came across as a bit of a sensible outlier
Under Sunak, however, heβs returned to being a deeply arrogant & unsympathetic individual
A General Election canβt come sooner

2/2 Works 12 hour shifts is expected to find parking elsewhere- meaning walking alone through Gloucester in Winter months to /from her car. The cost is not the issue: it is the safety of the staff. The Chief Exec at GRH needs to step in with Saba. #staffsafety#Gloshospitals.

How many people in Gloucestershire are aware of what is happening at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Staff who work various shifts are being refused parking permits (which they pay for anyway) on the basis that they don't have "enough points" to qualify for one! So, my wife 1/2
Sat on my commuter train this morning and there is a passenger who has been walking up and down the carriage since I got on. Really want to ask him why. #gwr#commuter
@bernarddonoghue I use a train regularly now and there are some very entertaining rail staff. One chap almost bursts into song. It certainly puts a smile on the faces of bored commuters π
@expertiseontap There seems to be a general trend within the BBC to remove more experienced (often much loved) radio presenters in favour of younger ones. I have yet to see one of their decisions being for the benefit of the listeners.
@thomashallett There is often no thought involved. At the recycling centre last week, a car was running idle for 20 minutes whilst it's owner dumped their rubbish.
@MartinSLewis I am interested in your advice concerning a pet insurance policy I took out with Perfect Pet insurance. They are refusing to pay out on spurious grounds. I have been in insurance 30 years. You cannot talk to claims team either! #petinsurance
