Loss of #SMAD4 expression is helpful to confirm pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma dx. This is a duodenal mucosa colonized by underlying #PDAC. SMAD4 expression is lost in PDAC (top half), it is retained in B9 duodenum (bottom left). Remember only loss of expression is meaningful.
