@wonko42@Atticus8@EastyJane Am hearing it takes anywhere from 2 mins - 10 mins to overnight to not at all. Not good enough IMO. Advice to teachers will be to use 2016 if you distribute pages. Going to create a pros and cons list for both versions and allow teachers to choose. Some may run both.
@juliew2010@EastyJane Also with new notebooks you cannot insert a file - comes up with error - you have to drag and drop. We have found this with new class notebooks in the app version
@michelledennis@schoolbox We are really clear on this - Onenote class notebooks for content delivery (superior to Schoolbox pages) and Schoolbox for assessment items. Choose the best tool for the job
@anfield1974 @steven_kolber@Scott_teach Steve how many students take notes digitally vs on paper? If students use paper do you ask them to take a photo and upload? Thinking about students without a stylus device
@LettsLearn@justinchando Agreed - it is a little fiddly. We will be rolling out continuous reporting next year...plan is to create assesment items for teachers in sem 1 and release responsibility to them in sem 2. A heap of Pd/support and I think we will be ok
@LettsLearn@justinchando Of news and setup of co-curricula groups. Integration with digitstorm app allows for notifications. Ie when teacherspost a result parents receives a notification on mobile
@LettsLearn@justinchando Hi Scott. We use Schoolbox and it is great. Simple workflows for teachers allowing parents access to as much or little as you like - ie assesment tasks, feedback, rubrics. Integration with class notebooks. Acts as portal also so one stop shop for parents. Great for communication
Next year I'm doing four workshops in Australia for @QELIedu on "Embedding Formative Assessment"—Sydney (20 Feb), Melbourne (21 Feb), Brisbane (Aug 29) and Cairns (Sep 2)—and one on "Leadership for Teacher Learning" (Brisbane, Aug 30). Details are here: https://t.co/kbOiIzL0U3
@jaslane72 @anfield1974 @mtholfsen @MSAUedu Our challenge is we already have existing tech...Dragon, read and write etc. Do we want these to be replaced? Work together? Introducing more tech could lead to confusion. Will be good to chat more about this!
@ComfortDisturb Hi Courtney my school requires all staff to complete the courses. Course 1 was due term 1 2018, course 2 term 2 2018 etc. We are given time release to complete. We usually do them together in departments to make it easier.
