Conclusion of the Geospatial and Surveying workshop with project launch of the Bougainville Coastal Waters Project, as highlighted by Secretary of Primary Industries, Mr Kenneth Davaro, as an example of "enabling environment for building partnership in the journey" #SPC#PGSC
Today, at the close of the 13th Session of UN-GGIM it was announced that I will be moving to Bonn, Germany to take on the role as Head of Office of the United Nations Global Geodetic Centre of Excellence.
The global #geodesy community is like a family. Today our family grows to include the @UN Global Geodetic Centre of Excellence. The Centre provides the first dedicated resources for geodesy to coordinate and collaborate our 'family'. Let's go far, by going together!

A week with my Pacific brothers and sisters working on the science of the land and the sea. Reflecting on the past and planning for the future. “If you want to go far, go together.”
Study #geodesy – see the world!
Let's work to promote geodesy as a career of choice.
Can you help me add to this diagram by telling me:
-WHERE (geodesy has taken you e.g. Pacific)
-WHAT (you worked on e.g. climate change)
-WHO (paid you e.g. government)
Study geodesy — see the world!
I hear a lot of people saying how hard it is to find staff at the moment. My chance of finding a geodesist is almost as small as Essendon winning an AFL final (yes - I am an Essendon supporter).
