Anyone else notice that if a Democrat is in the lead in California on Election Night they declare victory and the race is over.

But when anyone else that isn’t a Democrat takes the lead on Election Night, California Democrats running the election shut down the counting, declare that it is going to take weeks to decide and tell everyone the results are going to change.

If the LA Mayor race is close I’d advise the Pratt campaign and any other candidate to PULL the CURE file from the county registrar TODAY. And I assume it’s easy for Pratt to just start curing Republican ballots knowing his ROI is decent. Any other candidate will have to do age and geographical targets on the Dems they cure because a Chatsworth Democrat isn’t the same as a Silver Lake one for example. Yup, I’d be CURING today, and if it ends up not being necessary no big deal.

Tomorrow, the Supreme Court is issuing opinions. One of the highest profile cases left is Watson v. RNC -- which asks whether states can count ballots that arrive *after* election day. Funniest time to issue it would be during the ~10 day post-Election counting.
