Average consumer prices are up a cumulative 5.1% since the month Trump returned to office. As of June, they were up 3.5% since the previous June, exceeding the 3.0% year-over-year rate Trump inherited.
Itās true prices fell 0.4% between May and June as gas prices fell after the Iran war-related spike, but now gas prices are rising again; regardless, ānobody else could do itā is an interesting claim about a decline from a spike caused by the presidentās own war.
@LoanNinja@arizona_sos Hereās the strength of the teachers union youāre so opposed to in AZ. Teachers unions advocate for students & schools too. Strong teachers unions often correlate with better schools. Many of the states with strong teachers unions are ranked higher in education than AZ.
@arizona_sos This is a fair & balanced article with a timeline of the issues since ESAās beginnings. I wonder how many people calling it lies have even read it. I wish @azcentral would provide a way for subscribers to share gift articles on important subjects like this.
Campbell: I've talked to sources before, for example, who say that when the FBI was heavily involved in these immigration task forces, sometimes ICE would not invite the FBI agents to come with them because the FBI has body cameras. And these ICE agents would tell the FBI agents, according to my sources, we don't want this filmed.
For the second time in a week, ICE agents who kill an unarmed man werenāt wearing body cameras. So what are they doing with all those taxpayer $ Trump demanded they receive? Congress should pass laws requiring that every agent involved in this kind of work wear a working bodycam.
Predictably, full scale war has broken out again with Iran.
The Strait of Hormuz is closed. Gas prices are spiking again.
The bottom line? Trump has no moves to make. His spiraling incompetence has boxed America in. It's only going to get worse.
1/ Here's where things stand.
This is not complicated.
Trump sued the IRS. He also runs the IRS. It is an agency of the executive branch he controls as president.
Then he settled with himself. Sweeping tax immunity for him and his companies, plus up to $1.8 billion in taxpayer money set aside for so-called āvictimsā including the January 6 rioters he has spent years defending and pardoning, some of whom assaulted police officers.
Iām glad a federal judge just threw the whole thing out.
Trump and the IRS were never actually on opposite sides, which the Constitution requires in a real lawsuit. Iām also glad she referred the lawyers to state bar authorities for possible ethics violations.
Where are my Republican colleagues speaking out against this whole corrupt scheme? The rule of law means nothing if it vanishes the moment it becomes politically inconvenient.

Trump ordered the FBI to find out who leaked the truth about his Qatari jet.
Within 24 hours, his own leak investigation leaked.
You canāt write a better metaphor for this administration. Too corrupt to hide it & too incompetent to cover it up.

Murray: Is it true that people making under $184,000 pay a 12.4% Social Security tax rate?
Dahl: Yes Murray:
And the rate for someone making $1,000,000?
Dahl: 2.2%
Whistleblowers exposed that ICE reassigned @FEMA disaster responders to help plan immigration raids & set up detention centers.
With hurricane & wildfire season picking up, these workers should be focused on protecting Americans, not carrying out Trump's mass deportation agenda.
Nothing to see here: Just 292,150+ people warning about Trump Adminās new federal rule to strip grant funding power away from experts, scientists and unbiased arbiters
Instead granting power over federal grants to Trump appointees
Enormous issue

America can best mark the sad and untimely passing of Senator Lindsey Graham by sanctioning Russia and rededicating to the victory of Ukraine. Senator Graham just yesterday spoke in Ukraine about working to end Putinās brutal war which is filled with civilian atrocities and lies. Letās honor Senator Grahamās fierce support for Ukraine against Putin and his war crimes.
This is shameful.
Congressional Republicans advanced a bill that slashes support to help pregnant women and young mothers, and toddlers get fruits and vegetables, hurting mothers, the very people who need good nutrition the most.
It also makes our whole country less healthy while hurting America's farmers who grow the fresh produce communities depend on.

Buttigieg: You can see it in the carnival of corruption that is Washington, D.C., today.
The leader of the free world flying around in a secondhand jumbo jet from a foreign country while he makes a billion dollars on crypto deals propped up by foreign leaders.
A Supreme Court saying that a president, even if he used the government to murder someone, could not be held accountable for the crime.
Nine out of ten House races drawn so that you know whoās going to win before the first vote is cast in a 50/50 country.
This is not an academic concern. This hurts us. This is why things arenāt working properly. This is how they can make you pay more at the pump for a war you never asked for, how they burned down the Department of Education while weāre worried about kids who canāt do math or read like theyāre supposed to.
This is why we canāt have nice things.
But it doesnāt have to be this way. And thatās what weāre here to do something about.
Donald Trump cannot cancel elections but he can try to make it harder for people to vote and easier for the GOP to cheat. That includes misuse of the federal government and inciting his MAGA mob of election vigilantes.
We need to be ready to send up and protect elections.
Is the FBI Director using our tax dollars for VIP snorkeling and luxury vacations without reimbursing the taxpayers?
Even Republicans want to get to the bottom of this disturbing pattern.
When I heard about Senator Grahamās death last night, the first thing I thought about was not all the things he said and did in service of Donald Trump. I thought of the time before Donald Trump when he was a brother to Senator John McCain.
A time when senators from different parties could fight about politics and still be friends. A time when a conservative Republican from South Carolina could say of my father: āIf you canāt admire Joe Biden as a person, youāve got a problem. Heās the nicest person Iāve ever met in politics. As good a man as God ever created.ā
That is the Senator Graham I will remember today. Not because I have forgotten what came after. Because in that memory there is hope. Hope for a country where brothers can fight like hell over policy and still share a meal, and a laugh, and the loss of the people they love.
I will choose to remember the time before Trump. Because I believe in an America after Trump.
Some thoughts about how Trumpās various ārenovationsā are not just about his megalomania or aesthetic, but itās also about corruption.
Itās important we recognize it, understand whatās happening, and then call them out for their corruption.
BREAKING NYT:
The Trump admin just issued subpoenas to several journalists for The New York Times, after the outlet reported on security concerns involving Trump's Qatari-gifted Air Force One.
The subpoenas seek to force the reporters to testify before a federal grand jury on Wednesday. https://t.co/k7GRPjLSFf
