As a busy #TeamGP receptionist I implore the general public to please consider the receptionist you are screaming and being abusive to…We earn minimum wage - we are following processes and protocols and have very limited influence - you are shouting at the wrong people !!
@gp_recept10n We average around 40 incoming/outgoing each in a morning. It’s not really monitored though (yet!) so don’t feel pressured in that way. The pressure comes from patients who assume we are just doing our nails watching the phone ring…
Well today has been a very tough day in #TeamGP land ….. abusive patient making clinical and non clinical staff so upset that there were tears a plenty shed from
Multiple staff members . This is not right, it’s not acceptable. A sad day today, we all feel broken.
Have the Dept Health actually spoke to GPs/ practices before announcing things that won’t work? We moved to cloud based telephony system. We offer prebook appts 2 wks ahead (till they’ve gone) and same day urgent access with “care navigation” - still totally overwhelmed.
This is dynamite from Kaveh Solhekol on Sky Sports News. Absolutely nails it. He has the Tories and BBC on toast. Well done!! 👏 Take 2 mins and watch👇#garylineker#ImWithGary#MOTD#ToryFascists
@ArbourthorneCPS feature in the @thetimes Christmas Charities Appeal as a grateful recipient of @magic_breakfast who help to ensure no child goes hungry & can start the day with a ‘happy tummy’ 😊ready to learn! Poverty impacts lives. Thankyou for your support this Christmas🎄❤️
@jamieoliver love the sweet pepper pesto pasta from your One book. Slightly adapted using fresh tagliatelle and adding some meat for my carnivore husband but absolutely a win for quick dinner after work!
'The criticism of GP access is unfair and ignores the hard evidence from NHSE’s own data that general practice delivers more than 300 million appointments annually, 44% of these on the same day,' says GP Survival chair @johnghughes3 https://t.co/eQAp6uhBKh
What? - "This week the UK Government quietly removed ‘sexual and reproductive health and rights’ and ‘bodily autonomy’ from an international statement organised to show solidarity among nations on human rights. This is deeply troubling".
Wow! @MichaelRosenYes delivers a powerful message here.
Is the government afraid of our shared national grief?
Covid killed so many of us – now the government fears our tears and rage | Michael Rosen https://t.co/yWEjU5V0Ff
Expectation …. Patient complains that we can’t fill in a private form for him within a week - contacted private provider and they can’t either but it’s us he’s cross with - not contractual - we need a campaign to explain what general practice is for @rcgp@sajidjavid@BMA_GP
Please tell me I am wrong but why do I get the feeling that they are looking to replace our Reception teams with 111 as a route into primary care?
If that happens, will there be anyone left to work in general practice?
