Just got off a call with a friend who got laid off from Oracle yesterday.

His package was 48 LPA. Principal Software Engineer. 14 years at Oracle.

He shifted his aging parents to live with him in Bangalore last year. Took a bigger house on rent. 85k per month.

Two weeks ago, his VP gave him a spot bonus for exceptional leadership.

Yesterday morning. No call. No warning. Just an automated HR email.

He has two kids. One in college. One preparing for JEE next year.

1. A low cost and a premium airline.
2. Trains who covers 150 KM per hours and ends 400-500 KM in 3 to 4 hours.
3. A new telecom company in the market.
4. New younger NSA
5. Long term plans to move some Key Office from Delhi.
6. Key Metros like Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi should be run by single authority.
7. No GST on Air Purifiers,
8. Eggs should be part of school meals
9. Ban on public DJ things during any festival irrespective of religion
10. Metros in every city whose population is bigger than 10 lacs.
