Congratulations to Dr @AnnaKaminska who successfully passed her PhD viva last week with minor corrections! Pictured here with her supervisory team @Dr_AIrwin Prof Rhona Flin and Dr Devin Ray, Anna's thesis explored cultural variations in helicopter crews @CHCHelicopter@abdnpsych
This was my last PhD presentation (excluding conferences 🤞🏻). It’s a strange mix of relief and sadness to tick off yet another pre-submission task off for good.
I frequently get asked by students whether a psychology degree is right for them. Here is a thread with some of what I think are the main considerations that anyone thinking of studying for a BSc psychology should be aware of.
Really interesting #ResearchVid uploaded to our APHF youtube channel by PhD student @AnnaKaminska - https://t.co/P1EG7j2FEv discussing culture within #aviation and the importance of using methods such as the Implicit Association Test (IAT) check it out #HumanFactors#Psychology
Day 1 of #ehf2022 went off without a hitch for the @APHFAberdeen team, with @AnnaKaminska and @NejcSedlar presenting on professional culture in aviation and normalisation of deviance respectively. Lots of questions for both presenters and lovely to be back in-person!
Recorded my on-demand presentation for @CIEHF#EHF2022 today, then promptly realised that I'll also be presenting at the *in-person* conference in April. As a mostly Covid-era PhD student, this will be my first live talk - thrilled and terrified!
As I'm winding down with work before the holidays, I thought I'd share a bit about my #PhD#research thus far. See this short article if you'd like to find out a little about it: https://t.co/pwqzRFjxfU @APHFAberdeen
Online classes are slowly becoming like an episode of Dora the explorer. The teacher asks a question, waits for like 10 seconds, then answers it themselves and moves on.
@DrMadgeJackson To be honest, I wasn’t too sad. But then I thought about potential PhD hopefuls applying this year and getting an automated response of this sort 😬 I hope that’s not going to be the case, I would have been heartbroken!
About a month ago I applied for an internship and today I received an email titled ‘Your application has moved to the next stage’. Below is the body of the email. What is this savage communication style?
Just presented the results of my interview study at @IEA2021Congress and obviously Mr Catson had to make a background appearance during the question section. So here he is and he’d like everyone to know that it’s dinner time.
