Goodbye to our rotations Izzie (PT) and Anna (OT). You're both just the loveliest people inside and out, so patient-centred and have brought so much positivity to our team. All the best in your future rotations! 💙💚
Just watched #TheFather and what a good insight into some of the experiences individuals face when living with dementia.
Really made me think of some of my lovely residents I’ve worked with over the years! ❤️ Definitely worth a watch.

Feeling inspired by the fantastic presentation from @Tori_Doll_@BradSimmsOT@RyanGoodband_OT@Macca8t1 about their role as OTs in the specialist MH and LD unit!
Thankyou for giving up your time (and missing the footy) to talk to us @YSJOTSOC and the OT student community! 🙌🏼
You might hear people say:
“that’s just a loaf of bread...”
That is PROCESSING SKILLS
That is MOTOR SKILLS
That is SOCIAL SKILLS
That is SENSORY INPUT
That is LEARNING
That is GRADED CHALLENGE
That is ENABLEMENT
That is not “just a loaf of bread”
That is OCCUPATION

Thank you @charfrenchOT for your very informative and insightful lecture on #PrisonOT. It’s interesting to see how the skills I’ve learnt academically since starting my degree, can be transferred into settings like prisons. The power of OT. 💚
a massive thank you to @charfrenchOT and everyone who attended this evenings #prisonOT talk! We have had such great feedback and were blown away by the number of people who attended 🤩 @charfrenchOT you are truly an inspirational OT 💚
Was so lovely to hear @charfrenchOT share her passionate for OT within a prison setting this evening with @YSJOTSOC. I have definitely come away informed and inspired by the session - great to see so many fellow OT students from around the UK join. #PrisonOT#StudentOT
As a society we are looking to expand our engagement and understanding of a variety of areas within OT - if you are a professional in a specialist area who would be interested in giving a talk via teams please contact us! Thank you in advance! 🙌🏼
As part of my uni ambassador role I’ve been asked to plan a lesson for year 9/10 students to give them a taste of uni courses. Thought this would be a great way to promote OT to the younger generation...
I have a few ideas but any ideas of activities would be welcome?!
