Passionate about working in the not for profit sector and helping change lives. ProEuropean. If I retweet it means I've read it. These are my personal views.
@1goodtern The calculation for “normal” baseline mortality has now been adjusted to include Covid excess deaths, a further fact that the majority of people are oblivious to. But who cares right? It must mean everything is normal again. That’s good.
Belfast riots : Immigrant family rescued by Police after rioters set their house and car on fire while the family was still inside.
This is an attempted murder.
Those poor kids will live that trauma.
@SexOffenderX@BriefcaseMike The coverage has been about his role in the run-down to 16 feature and there is one woman saying he brought her to Sullivan
@BriefcaseMike The thing is, he didn't hide anything. It's in a book, it's his employment history. So when they employed him, they must have decided it wasn't important. I would have thought he'd have a good case for suing if they get rid of him
Dartmoor without its ponies is unthinkable. These semi-wild herds have shaped the landscape for centuries and are part of England’s living heritage. Policies that could lead to the loss of up to 90% of them need urgent reconsideration. #SaveDartmoorPonies

ZELENSKYY: Russia attacks us with more than 650 drones and 35 to 100 missiles per day. We respond with 300 to 350 drones, it’s not a competitive number. But, when we will have 600-plus drones and missiles, Russians will feel this war the way we do, but they will feel it at home.
It has emerged that Somali referee Omar Artan, who was denied entry to the United States for the #2026WorldCup, was interrogated for 11 hours at the border.
Artan described his experience with the following words:
“I am just a referee trying to live out his biggest dream, to go to the World Cup.
I am really, really disappointed. I had the proper documents and the correct visa. I think they have a problem with my country.”
None of the media except @BylineTimes seems interested in exploring how David Sullivan was able to fund a care home for teenage girls while being investigated by the police over serious sexual offences, and Ofsted said it was powerless to act. Depressing, if not surprising.
To be honest, an outdoor location with a decent breeze, possibly a small rise or hilltop, even a beach? You can scout with a cheap anemometer. Some pavilions would be ok so long as the sides are open.
Transmission is still possible of course, but much, much harder than indoors, particularly with good air movement. ≥2.5 m/s will get you better mitigation through diffusion than almost any affordable indoor setup. You should still push masks though.
