He can’t even fathom how any kid could enjoy school. He doesn’t understand why he has to memorize the pythagorean theorem and the half life of an element. The schools of today are hardly different from the schools of 150 years ago. We don’t need robot factory workers anymore.

If my experience had been like this, I would have been a lot less stressed in middle school. I still remember how worked up I would get about graded assessments in my computer, drama, art, and family consumer science classes!

Students should not receive grades in Electives.. this is where student portfolios and narratives on growth and progress should be paramount..

In no way do I mean to target and place the blame on another age group. I’m just saying that in my eyes there is no one group of people that isn’t taking the virus seriously. It depends on the individual and the community they are surrounded by!

I gotta say it bothers me when people talk about how irresponsible young adults are and how we “don’t take COVID seriously” ... most of the older adults I’ve interacted with are way more lax about virus precautions than my peers!
