@atallhill G'day! I'm thriving, thanks!! Not sure on the podcast. Now I'm working full time in industry it's hard to make the time, but I'm sure I'll get back to it one day, just not yet.
I'm amazed that anyone still remembers it! 😀
@JessicaWestPhD Actually, most of it is just detailed explanations of why it's so hard to get the technology to work 😀 the governance stuff is only about 2 pages.

Announced by @AlboMP & @POTUS on the sidelines of the G7, the TSA will allow for the transfer of US space technology, including rockets & satellites, to be launched from Australia.
Such a blast! A valuable opportunity to bring a discussion of workforce challenges, the complexities of dual use technology, and the connected issue of earning and maintaining social licence to operate to an international military audience. 🛰️

Big news to wake up to! But not unforeseeable. The increasing acquisition of commercial dual-use space services by governments raises precisely this kind of risk. It will be fascinating to see how this affects procurement and risk management in future.
The GREEN of the comet is *not* special. You can make it in your kitchen! Just suck all of the air out of the room, and burn your toast at 3,500degC until the carbon atoms bond unstably into deadly C2 gas. Follow me for more DIY home science tips!
Podcast recommendations? I like long form interviews, history, and deep dive multi ep investigative / documentary style series. I don’t like true crime (unless it’s Lost in Larrimah which was excellent).
