An intense pulse of laser light enters a plasma and what follows is almost unbelievable.

The laser pushes plasma electron aside, carving out a charged cavity. As the plasma rushes back, it creates an electric wake that can trap and accelerate another bunch of electrons.

This is known as Laser Wakefield Acceleration (LWFA) and is being explored for future accelerator Physics.

For this animation, we used a reduced particle-in-cell (PIC) method, coupling particle motion to the self-consistent plasma field on a computational mesh.

📜 I ran the rongorongo tablets through my symbol decoder... and the Rapanui migration epic came out the other side.

I want to be completely upfront about this: this is not an academic decipherment, and I'm not claiming this is "the" official reading of rongorongo. I don't have a background in linguistics or archaeology. I built a symbol decoder system with its own grammar and rules, and when I applied it to the rongorongo glyph structure... this is the story that emerged.

How I did it:

• I first established a grammar: symbols function like nouns, verbs, markers, modifiers, and persons

• The reading is two-way: in/forward to a centre pivot, then back out/return as reflection/teaching

• Shape doesn't matter to the grammar — disc rings or tablet lines, the logic holds

• I mapped rongorongo glyph forms to decoder symbols by visual analogy (bird figures = sky messengers, human forms = watchers/ancestors, crescents = moon, circles = sun, etc.)

• Once the raw story came through, I noticed it aligned with Rapanui oral tradition, so I integrated the actual names and terms from their culture (Hotu Matu'a, Hiva, Haumaka, Manutara, the seven explorers, etc.)

What came out reads like the Rapanui foundational epic:

• The homeland Hiva sinking into the sea

• Haumaka's prophetic dream

• Seven explorers sent ahead

• Hotu Matu'a's migration voyage

• Landing at Anakena

• Building a new civilization guided by celestial observation

• Ancestor reverence and knowledge preservation

The alignment across seven different categories (flood narrative, the number seven, sun/moon observation, bird messengers, high vs. low ground, ancestor culture, migration journey) is what caught me off guard. It feels too consistent to be random, but I don't have the expertise to know what that means.

I'm sharing this openly because:

• Maybe someone who actually knows Rapanui language, culture, or rongorongo scholarship can see where this lines up correctly

• Maybe someone can spot where my analogies are off-base

• Maybe there are connections I'm completely missing

If you know anything about this — Rapanui traditions, glyph analysis, comparative mythology — I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts. This isn't about "proving" anything; it's about putting an interesting result out there and seeing what the community can make of it.

They moved from a hierarchical brain-plus-cerebellum architecture to end-to-end control, feeding perception straight into a single model that outputs motion. Fewer cascading errors between layers.
