@DeepDishEnjoyer I know its kinda different but I've probably wagered 10x my salary this year to arb sports/pm.
Anyway assume maybe a 5% vig, compounded if you do parlays, reduced a bit if you are using promos.
@sdav1986 I lost mucho money to this type of bs in the past.
But alas it's my own fault for not calculating the price of 500 different stocks real time before thinking i was properly hedged
@ZaStocks@doomdayer The questions are:
1)Do you think the odds are wrong?
2)What is the best way to reflect those views?
I put a few hundred on "No Hike" Kalshi thinking the true odds are closer to 30 than 70, and will likely cash out if they revert.
But would SPX/QQQ calls be better? Not sure.
Anyway rn I'm making a few small bets:
1 - shifting from SGOV to laddered 2, 5, 10, 30s. Mostly a learning exercise.
2 - USO puts, long dated. Think people have a complete misread on the whole situation.
3 - Kalshi NO on fed hike in december. YES should be 30 cents not 60.
A reminder: PPI and CPI don't always march in step.
They usually do, but we've seen a few prints this year showing consumers are pretty much tapped out.
If that happens, it means the Fed hiking would be an unforced error.
And everyone already knows what happens if CPI is hot.
I *still* think Warsh could push it back till after midterms, but if we're being real the overnight rate only matters so much - The rest of the curve will decide on its own.
