Rep. Roy: "Today the Supreme Court manufactured out of thin air a complete abomination of a ruling by the Chief Justice suggesting that you can simply become a citizen from being born on dirt, thereby validating the abhorrent practice of baby factories.
This leaves us no choice but to do what we must do to PAUSE all immigration."
π¨ JUST IN: Gov. Ron DeSantis sends a fiery warning to the Supreme Court:
βJudicially forcing birthright citizenship on Americans β against the clear will of the people and our laws β means we no longer rule ourselves.β
We are a sovereign nation, not a global hotel. Time to end the madness.
#BirthrightCitizenship #DeSantis #SCOTUS #SecureTheBorder #AmericaFirst #Sovereignty #EndAnchorBabies
The U.S. is an outlier on this. Other developed nations donβt give the children of those who broke into their country the right to vote. This is crazy.
Official transcript from the US Senate on May 30, 1866. Senator Jacob Howard, who introduced the 14th Amendment:
"This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens...β
SCOTUS got this ruling 100% wrong. A total travesty.
@hopkins_gl32257@NickJFreitas And subject to the jurisdiction thereof. Also we know a few justices don't even care about what it said and were gonna rule for importing more voters either way
@hopkins_gl32257 βAnd subject to the jurisdiction thereofβ¦β
Why do so many people flat out refuse to properly understand the complete text of amendments.
I swear this is like people saying the second amendment only applies to militias.
Itβs pointless to continue the fight against the madness. Democrats in America thrive on communism, fraud, and illegal immigration, turning a blind eye to crime, while feckless Republicans huff and puff and just sit on their hands. Itβs hopeless, and Iβm sick of it all.
The best response to the Court's devastatingly wrong ruling on birthright citizenship is more deportations, a more secure border, and more prosecutions of foreign criminals.
I will continue to work to give the Admin the resources needed to deport illegals & protect Arkansans.
CLARENCE THOMAS JUST PUBLISHED THE EXACT ARGUMENT FOR WHY THE SUPREME COURT'S BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP RULING IS CONSTITUTIONALLY WRONG
Not a political objection. Not a policy disagreement. NAMED HISTORY. SPECIFIC TEXT. Amendment by amendment.
π 14th Amendment, 1868 β "ONE pervading purpose": securing equal citizenship for FREED SLAVES after the Civil War
π Reconstruction Congress intent β zero evidence the drafters contemplated children of foreign temporary visitors or illegal aliens
π "Subject to the jurisdiction" clause β Thomas: means full political allegiance, not mere physical presence on US soil
π The majority opinion β Thomas says it REPURPOSED the Amendment to protect preferred rights the drafters NEVER contemplated
π Thomas's direct quote β those rights "CANNOT find support in the text today"
π His warning on the ruling β "I am not sure that today's opinion will stand the test of time"
π Thomas during April 2026 oral arguments β probed whether immigration debates even existed when the 14th was written
π His core distinction β freed slaves were entitled to citizenship because they were Americans with no other homeland; children of foreign nationals are not in the same category
π Roberts and Barrett β joined the liberal bloc in the 6-3 majority in Trump v. Barbara
π Gorsuch β joined Thomas in dissent; Alito filed a separate dissent
π 91 pages
π 1 purpose the 14th Amendment actually had, per Thomas
π ZERO rights the Reconstruction Congress contemplated for children of foreign nationals
π 100% of Thomas's argument grounded in the specific post-Civil War historical record β not modern policy preference
Every argument on this list is anchored in the text and history of the Amendment. Not in what the Court wishes it said. In what the people who wrote it actually intended.
The Court's ruling stands. But Thomas put a 91-page marker on the record.
Thomas's dissent is still ticking. These are the arguments at the core of it.
I'll keep you updated as this unfolds, turn on notifications this is EXTREMELY important.
Good luck with 2/3rd of Senate or House signing off on it. Β The Court failed the country. Badly.Β
Roberts decision was another Roberts abomination with sidekick Barrett. Β Will discuss tonight. Β Thomas dissent a tour de force.
What can we do now?
Pass much stricter visa laws. If you're pregnant, no visa.
Ifyou want to visit a US territory, you must have a visa with strict vetting.
End dual citizenship.
End the exploitation of U.S. surrogacy laws.
Mass deportations.
Itβs a perversion of self-government.
Judicially mandating that foreigners are entitled to birth US citizens against the wishes of the people as reflected in law means we cease to be our own rulers.
HOLY SH*T: Justice Alito is going Scorched earth after SCOTUS allowed Birthright Citizenship:
"In my judgment the court has made a mistake that will seriously affect the country's future."
"Suppose that a persons ONLY connection to this country is that he was born here to a mother who was present just long enough to give birth and then quickly return to her native country.
Suppose that country is a strategic adversary or enemy of the United States.
Suppose the child never visited the United States while growing and was inculcated with hatred of this country.
According to this court, now, that person is a citizen of the United States.
He can enter and leave the country as he pleases. He can travel the world on a United States passport.
Even if he plots to harm this country, he cannot be deprived of his status as a citizen, at least under current precedentβ
Justice Thomas was right. Todayβs ruling got it wrong.
Illegal aliens shouldnβt be able to anchor themselves to our country simply because they crossed the border and gave birth.
Birthright citizenship was never meant for people who had no right to be here in the first place.
