Our research group are thinking a lot about how we can personalise care for sepsis. If you work in intensive care, please take 5 minutes to complete our survey to give us your views: https://t.co/F9HjFICzox @agordonICU@dfmcauley@CritCareReviews@QUBCritCareResp@UKCCRGroup
We are seeking views from ICU clinicians on the topic of corticosteroids, precision medicine and sepsis. Your views could help shape a precision medicine trial. Please could you complete this survey?

Congratulations to Aaska Banthya from St Mary's, working with @pic_pram, presenting to a packed room (people standing!) as a 5th year student at #espnic2024!

Any medical trainees who have a clinical and research interest in the host response to OHCA out there? Have a proposal in progress with @KnightGenetics and @AntcliffeDavid in Oxford that would suit a fellowship application over next 6-12 months. DM me If interested.

Prof Anthony Gordon (@agordonICU) from @ImperialSandC and his team are leading the way for #sepsistrials in critical care.

@nualameyer expect heterogeneity and test for it. You could get surprising results which may include heterogeneity of treatment effect in certain subclasses #SCCM2023 https://t.co/3TE0pkre0G @progdoctalk https://t.co/3rO0fUcj25 @agordonICU
Another CCR meeting is over. There were many things to love but one of the best things is hanging out with people you wouldn't meet at Crit Care conferences. Great conversations with the methodologies and statisticians. Brilliant! @ADAlthousePhD@MarionKCampbell@VR_Cornelius
The live stream of this meeting was amazing. From leaving the titanic centre to sitting on the plane waiting to take off, I haven't missed a thing! #CCR22
Something special is going #CCR22. Its a conference with an innovative & courageous format.
Generous time & an editorial is given to EVERY trial- allowing real depth to trial understanding & interpretation.
No frantic series of 20 mins talks here! Just powerful dissemination.
#CCR22 Two great trials presented so far. One of an intervention with poor preceding data (vit C) but adopted by many and one with good preceding data (SDD UK funding declined as it works!) but adopted by few. And we think we're rational as clinicians!
Our 9th #sicsag#covid19 report on Scottish ICUs highlighting unvaccinated 6x more likely to be admitted to ICU, more than 28% of ICUs unable to meet recommended staffing levels, and information on 75 pregnant/recently pregnant women with covid19

This paper shows the strength of the Academic FY2 programme. This great work was done by Tim Jones during his academic block looking at the role of oxylipins in septic shock. #sepsis#omics#FY2@APMIC_Imperial @CAMO_Imperial @ImperialSandC
Congrats to @EdinburghUni on their new Prof of Experimental Medicine: @kennethbaillie. Kenny's contribution to ICM and the worldwide pandemic response cannot be overestimated - @GenomiccStudy, @remap_cap, RECOVERY, @HEAL_COVID & much much more. Prof is the v least he deserves.
