First ever phenome-wide association study in IBD
Nationwide study from @PREDICTIBD using Danish population data
• Almost 35,000 patients with IBD marched to 1:6 to population controls
• 10 years prior to diagnosis there are many diseases associated with IBD
• 312 discrete signals seen of which 125 are present pre-diagnosis
• Signal of multi-morbidity is stronger in CD than UC
• Classic EIMs, other inflammatory diseases, cardiometabolic disease, neuropsychiatric disease and sequelae of treatment all identified
• EBV signal pre-diagnosis of interest given other emerging data
