We have been expecting an $80,000 re-test since the end of last month on $BTC. $80,444 was the nPOC print that we wanted a re-test of.
We got it, we closed that level. I don't think now is the time to get bearish, labeled this as a long opportunity, not a shorting one.
#Bitcoin
Imagine owning a company that:
- controls 20% of Bitcoin mining hashpower
- Is first-in-line for new mining units, while supply is extremely inelastic due to AI chip boop
- Owns 1.5% of the total supply of BTC
Except its not 2026.
It's 2016.
And the bitcoin is private.

BITCOIN AMPLIFICATION - EXPLAINED!
Strive and Strategy have different amplification metrics and I have seen a lot of confused folks on here regarding this. So let's talk about it!
Bitcoin amplification isn't free. SATA currently carries a variable preferred dividend rate of 13%. That dividend is a cost.
At $1.22B of preferred capital... $1.22B x 13% = $159M of annualized preferred dividends at that rate.
So what return does Bitcoin need to generate simply to to overcome that preferred cost.
The math is very easy. Preferred amplification * preferred rate.
At Strive we calculate our amplification ratio by taking the outstanding SATA notional at $1.22B and divide that by the BTC fair market value of $2.29 B.
Now to get our BTC return hurdle, we take preferred amplification (53.2%) * pref rate (13%) = 6.92%.
At today's capital structure and preferred rate, Bitcoin needs to appreciate roughly 6.9% annually for the Bitcoin reserve return to economically cover the preferred dividend burden.
Above that hurdle, amplification begins working for the common claim and below it, amplification works against it.
Now Strategy expresses amplification as a multiple instead of a percentage. Amplification = BTC Reserve / Net Reserve. So when Strategy reports amplification of roughly 1.25x, they're saying every $1 of Net Reserve supports about $1.25 of gross BTC reserve.
If you wanted to translate this into something closer to Strive's preferred amplification framework, you would do 1 - 1/1.25 = 20%.
So Strategy's 1.25x corresponds conceptually to roughly 20% amplification in Strive terms.
Strive's current 53.2% amplification converts the other direction. 1 / (1 - 0.532) = 2.14x
So expressed in roughly the same language:
Strategy: ~1.25x amplification
Strive: ~2.14x amplification
The exact methodologies aren’t perfectly apples-to-apples because Strategy’s Net Reserve adds USD assets to BTC reserve and subtracts out-of-the-money notional debt and preferred equity, while Strive’s amplification ratio is based directly on senior capital relative to BTC fair market value.
But this is essentially the difference in how the amplification metrics are reported.
Fun!
