This world is crazy enough and I will never line my pocket with your money. Work hard, be rewarded!
Call me crazy, but I do like $ZRO $HYPE $NEAR and $ONDO at these levels.
Going to nibble some longs in anticipation this might be some sort of weekend fake out with $BTC and $ETH.
Our job isn't to time the bottom perfectly, its to enter at high R/R levels, and I do think we are getting to those levels on strong trending altcoins the past few months.
About to Leroy Jenkins this shit.
I don't think strong altcoins die this easily. We have been waiting damn near 5 years for this shit.
My biggest losses in crypto over the years (into the 7-figs range), hasn't been perp trading, hasn't been trenching, hasn't been memes, its been.... bag holding altcoins.
It doesn't matter the infrastructure, tokenomics, big VC backers or main character backers. Holding things that are -80% off the highs, can literally nuke another -80% upon entry.
Altcoins have always "looked" like an ideal beta play to bitcoin, but during then 2025 Bitcoin highs we learned that to be 100% untrue.
The story now becomes: "Will they ever have another alt-szn?"
My heart says yes, but it's really hard to say. With the extractions phase of memes, trenching and getting rich quick through streamers and cabals pushing like its easy, I find it hard to believe we ever see another one.
The game has changed. The believers in sound infrastructure within blockchain technology seem to be completely gone and now replaced w/ schizo trenchers who publicly stream they have insider information on launches and get $6M token allocations.
I hope this changes. Not only for the sake of the industry but for the devs who have poured their life's work into building within the cryptocurrency industry. They have been outshined by pictures of animals and serial deployers for way too long.
Liquidity and money is spread too thin. The ones who lost everything during prior drawdowns aren't willing to deploy more and have been replaced with a new influx of crypto money that is drawn to memecoin gambling.
How does this change? I have no fucking clue
@PostyXBT Yeah you aren’t wrong. Even some altcoins performed extremely well into the 2025 bitcoin highs.
Would assume everyone’s problem becomes “the exit” if you got excited about a pro-crypto presidency elect, you simply got smoked into oblivion.
@TraderHaro Agreed. 2020-2021 was glorious but if you had any ounce of faith in any project other then HYPE, you lost money in hindsight 5 years later.
meh, but even then. The likely hood of picking the winners is extremely low. Its basically the same as picking a meme winner.
The only true winner since last altcoin craze has been HYPE. If you full ported HYPE, of course it works out. But most are probably allocating to HYPE and along with many losers and the winner will not outweigh the other losers.
It’s conditions. So they can move to the next banking system that ushers in more control. The US finance game has been played out. Just as the British one did. Time for a new ponzi which means they want to reset the table. That’s what AI is for, not that its actually going to be the one to organic hack and destroy, no, to be the scape goat.
Honestly a very interesting take. Never really thought about it like this. You have 2 types of people when it comes to the PumpFun narrative.
1) Huge scammers who line their pockets only
2) Building culture that most exchanges refuse to do
I don't have hard thoughts on it. I think if you look back within crypto the past 3 years, PumpFun is now a household name that sticks. If you want to look at that as something negative because you think "extraction" then fine, but I also think 99.9% of people would completely think differently if they made some massive gains through their ecosystem.
Pumpfun is basically the only crypto company spending HUGE to shape crypto culture.
Rest of the huge warchests seem busy with trying to shape policy.
If Coinbase and Robinhood want to compete for retail eyeballs, shouldn't they be buying everyone like pump is?
