केंद्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड (CBSE) के पाठ्यक्रम में कक्षा 1 से माध्यमिक स्तर तक मैथिली भाषा को मातृभाषा विषय के रूप में मान्यता मिलना मिथिला की सांस्कृतिक अस्मिता और भाषाई गौरव के लिए गर्व का विषय है।

आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री @narendramodi जी के नेतृत्व में भारतीय भाषाओं, संस्कृति और परंपराओं के संरक्षण एवं संवर्धन को निरंतर नई मजबूती मिल रही है।

यह निर्णय न केवल मैथिली भाषा को नई पहचान और सम्मान देगा, बल्कि आने वाली पीढ़ियों को अपनी मातृभाषा, संस्कृति और जड़ों से जोड़ने का सशक्त माध्यम भी बनेगा।

A black fungus feeds on radiation in Chernobyl.

In the radioactive ruins of Chernobyl’s Reactor 4, scientists found an extraordinary black fungus, Cladosporium sphaerospermum, thriving in one of Earth’s most toxic environments.

Rather than merely enduring radiation, this fungus seems to harness it through radiosynthesis—a process akin to photosynthesis but driven by gamma radiation, converting it into chemical energy. It’s among the rare organisms capable of this feat.

Even more remarkable, when tested on the International Space Station, the fungus flourished, forming a biofilm that blocked up to 84% of cosmic radiation, hinting at its potential as a living radiation shield for astronauts. With radiation posing a major hurdle for deep-space missions to Mars and beyond, this self-regenerating biological layer could revolutionize spacecraft design by replacing heavy, bulky shielding.

On Earth, researchers are exploring its use in bioremediation to detoxify radioactive sites too hazardous for humans, potentially transforming nuclear disaster recovery. As one scientist put it, “It’s like nature crafted a biological radiation shield.” From Chernobyl’s ruins to space, this humble fungus could help humanity thrive in the universe’s harshest environments.

India strengthens its commitment to wetlands conservation with the addition of two new Ramsar Sites from Bihar - Gokul Jalashay (448 ha) in Buxar district, and Udaipur Jheel (319 ha) in West Champaran district.

This brings the total to 93 Ramsar Sites, spanning 13,60,719 hectares, underscoring India’s resolve to safeguard its rich wetland ecosystems for biodiversity, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods.

With PM Shri @narendramodi ji steering the way, India continues to be the first in Asia and third in the world in terms of total number of Ramsar Sites in a country.

बिहार में 07 निश्चय योजना के अंतर्गत 12वीं कक्षा उत्तीर्ण छात्र जो उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त करना चाहते हैं उनके लिए 02 अक्टूबर 2016 से बिहार स्टूडेंट क्रेडिट कार्ड योजना लागू है। बिहार स्टूडेंट क्रेडिट कार्ड योजना के अंतर्गत उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त करने के लिए अधिकतम 04 लाख रुपए का शिक्षा ऋण सामान्य आवेदक को 04 प्रतिशत ब्याज दर पर तथा महिला, दिव्यांग एवं ट्रांसजेन्डर आवेदक को मात्र 01 प्रतिशत ब्याज दर पर दिया जाता है।

मुझे यह बताते हुए अत्यंत खुशी हो रही है कि अब स्टूडेंट क्रेडिट कार्ड योजना के अंतर्गत दिए जाने वाले शिक्षा ऋण की राशि सभी आवेदकों के लिए ब्याज रहित होगी।

साथ ही 02 लाख रुपए तक के शिक्षा ऋण को 60 मासिक किस्तों (05 वर्ष) में वापस करने का प्रावधान था, जिसे अब बढ़ाकर अधिकतम 84 मासिक किस्तों (07 वर्ष) में तथा 02 लाख से ऊपर ऋण राशि को 84 मासिक (07 वर्ष) किस्तों से बढ़ाकर अधिकतम 120 मासिक (10 वर्ष) किस्तों में वापस करने का प्रावधान किया गया है।

हमलोगों का उद्देश्य है कि राज्य के अधिक से अधिक छात्र-छात्राएं उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त कर सकें। उच्च शिक्षा के लिए प्रदान की जाने वाली शिक्षा ऋण में दी जाने वाली इन सुविधाओं से छात्रों के मनोबल में वृद्धि होगी और वे अधिक उत्साह एवं लगन से उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त कर अपने भविष्य के साथ-साथ राज्य एवं देश का भविष्य भी संवार सकेंगे।
