Introducing Kara, the S26 startup with arguably the tightest founder-market fit of any company I've worked with.
It turns out, diamonds have awesome scientific and industrial use cases but sourcing diamond parts is a mess right now. The Kara team consists of: A fifth-generation diamantaire (whose name translates to "jeweler"), a chemical engineer who did diamond quantum sensing at Berkeley Lab, and an ML engineer — three best friends growing and machining diamonds into actual parts. Hard to think of a better team to lead us into the diamond age.
