Salvation Army
There are tons of furniture consignment shops in the area and amazing antique stores.
There are also consignment shops for clothing.
It is also ‘yard sale’ season. A yard sale is exactly what it sounds like. Homeowners get together and put up older or unused items on their lawn or in their garage and sell them. Great deals.
If you sign up for Facebook, there is also Facebook marketplace and you can find a ton of things there as well.

68-year-old Santa Monica man Gregory John Curcio admitted to doxing an ICE attorney by publicly identifying her as an ICE agent, posting her home address and directing others on social media to “swat” her using that address in Feb. 2025.

Swatting is harassment that often involves placing false emergency calls to law enforcement to prompt a significant law enforcement response.

The victim told authorities that Curcio is a former resident at her mother’s apartment building in Santa Monica. She said she never met Curcio, but he had harassed and threatened her mother for years.

The complaint alleges that Curcio made false allegations and engaged in a campaign to harass the victim and her family beginning from at least January 2024.

Curcio faces a statutory maximum sentence of five years in prison at his Aug. 21 sentencing.

Yesterday I faced what I would consider, my first real test in this program. It was a struggle to know whether the additional information requested was a door being closed by God, or a test as to how much faith I have in Him opening it.

When I was asked for additional documents, I thought, truthfully, that perhaps this was the door closing. I felt a sense of emotions, hesitation, frustration and a tired mind. As these emotions ran through me, even in this instance, I had an immediate reaction from the Holy Spirit.

He spoke to me. Told me to be still, and gave me a solution. That solution provided resolution to what I thought would be my closed door. I always go back to Revelation 3:8, where God promises, "I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut".

And that is the divine promise and truth. Who can shut what God has opened. So, in that wrak moment, God reminded me of who He is.

Thank you Holy Spirit for reminding me. To God I give the Glory.

While in the YouTube app, she suddenly hears on her phone typing, breathing, her ‘camera on’ indicator is lit up, she says the man was a foreign man speaking and typing

Multiple other people have said recently similar things have happened while in YouTube

I’ve looked into this and from what I can find it’s extremely rare, especially for the level of security Apple has

For this to work for a hacker to take control of your phone or app

- You would have had to have installed a malicious app or clicked a phishing link earlier. Something like a fake “YouTube update” or adult site redirect
- Or physical access to your phone at some point to install spyware
- Spyware or Remote Access Tool

Once inside, the malware could request or silently use your camera and mic permission
- It could run in the background and disguising itself as a legitimate process in your phone

The “typing, clicking, breathing, man’s voice” she described could be the attacker live-monitoring or testing controls

Even if you accidentally got this on your phone, the hacker would still likely be limited

Likely saying in YouTube with background access only to your camera and mic while YouTube plays normally

Even still, this is extremely creepy and not something you want to happen. This is exactly the type of thing you’d expect from an Indian scammer or something

Down click bad links or ever grant permissions to things not trustworthy

Luckily likelihood is very low on Apple iPhones with their security and sandboxing

After the outstanding early success of the FBI’s Most Wanted Fraudster List, already arresting TWO subjects within weeks with apprehensions out of Somalia and Philippines, today the @FBI is announcing another addition:

FAHAD MOHAMED NUR – on the run since 2022 – is wanted for his alleged involvement in a fraud scheme exploiting the Federal Child Nutrition Program in Minnesota during the COVID-19 pandemic, laundering millions in funds intended to reimburse the cost of serving meals to kids in need.

Nur was the owner of a vendor and purported food supplier who received more than $5 million in fraudulent Federal Child Nutrition Program funds – allegedly stealing from the program using fake invoices.

Nur has ties to Somalia and may be living there.

Led by @POTUS @VP and the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud @WHFraudTF, we have already seen over $13 billion in fraud uncovered on behalf of hardworking Americans – and there is more to come.
