Funny how some libertarians compare the AI revolution with the Industrial Revolution to state that "it will create jobs! someone has to fix the robots"
lol
The AI Revolution is about replacing human minds the same way the Industrial Revolution was about replacing human muscle.
@_Kevin_Pham@siosism @BitcoinAppDev @vegardwikeby@KenCrompton@handcashapp @rdntola @BennettTomlin@KyleSGibson@karbonbased @sinoTrinity The incentive for using AI as a weapon is too big. Passing laws against non-transparent decision making does not work. Politicians do not understand the threat, and China has all the incentive to pursue this tech if others try to tame it down. It’ll be a mess.
@_Kevin_Pham@siosism @BitcoinAppDev @vegardwikeby@KenCrompton@handcashapp @rdntola @BennettTomlin@KyleSGibson@karbonbased 💯 But that field and AI are like the new nuclear race. The incentive to get there faster than other countries is strong.
I do not believe AI is going to end well for humans, but we can try.
And if we destroy ourselves or become another kind of being... is that just evolution?
@vinarmani I’m at peace now. A couple of years ago I was scared of AI, now I just assume everything’s going to hell in a few decades and there’s nothing we can do so... let’s just enjoy the ride!
@apagut The difference between Nintendo vs Sony/Microsoft/PC is nintendo doesn’t make games that feel floaty and unresponsive.
Nintendo doesn’t care how “bad” the graphics, a character doing exactly what you want, the second you push the button is their north star.
@urbanarson They don't even care about the story too much.
When game developers pitch a game to Nintendo, they only care about the core game mechanics and seem to be pretty ruthless with feedback.
@consumerxai All accessory manufacturers get the CADs months in advance under NDA, so they can be ready for launch. This is nothing new or surprising at all.
