@TraceyRyniec Add Disney debt to the debt scenarios of student loan debt, credit card debt, mortgage debt, personal loan debt, gambling debt and payday debt!
@nickgerli1 I use the Zillow rent vs buy calculator, and it's significantly cheaper for me to rent than buy in upstate NY currently. I'm investing the difference into other projects. Been looking to buy for 3 years, and will stop.
2026 is a “fire on fire” year, meaning:
• risk assets become more active
• speculative sectors outperform
• tech and innovation accelerate
• Asia strengthens
• Metals (esp. gold/silver) keep rising
• Consumer staples/defensive
• Banks likely struggle
@jonbrooks If I were to buy an older home, which needs repairs from deferred maintenance (the condition of every house I've toured in 3 years of searching so far), the monthly mortgage+property taxes+insurance alone would be 2.5 times my monthly rent of the same square footage.
True Growth Springs From Letting-Go.
Letting Go of Judgement, including Self Judgment.
Letting Go of Fear; Fear of Failure , Fear of Missing Out, Fear of Uncertainty, Fear of Loss, Fear of Trying, Fear of Abandonment, Fear of the What-ifs, which so often hold us back.
Letting Go of the Outcomes, and the should haves, could haves, would haves, did, and instead, accepting and moving-on.
Letting Go of what feels safe and secure, of what you know, of what has served you in the past, or what you think served you in the past.
Letting Go of Safety: Habits, thought process, behaviours and patterns you are familiar with, and being willing to try something different.
Letting Go of your antipathy to being exposed and vulnerable. Letting Go of all of the above leaves you in a position of great vulnerability, but that’s what you need to be willing to do to change, grow, become.
Letting Go, is Moving on, Moving past, Moving Forward.
Yes it may not work out the way you want, but the other option is being stuck in what already isn’t working anymore.
Without Letting Go, you’ll never know what was possible.
You are a cooperation of trillions upon trillions upon trillions of systems that don’t know “you” and independently just want to do their job.
Everyplace you “dig” this is all there is.
But somewhere and somehow “you” exits.
AGI: "we believe that trending more towards individual empowerment is important; the other likely path we can see is AI being used by authoritarian governments to control their population through mass surveillance and loss of autonomy." Sam Altman blog https://t.co/f2A9Nq8AYJ
