Brilliant nuanced piece of reporting by @phoeb0 about the re-introduction of sea eagles in Scotland. No easy answers here as her subjects grapple with how restore a depleted biosphere while supporting struggling farmers https://t.co/7PWyRlds7G
@cjtaylor92@The_RHASS@NuffieldFarming Comgratulations Claire on completing your nuffield Journey , been great reading your posts from around the world . Fascinating.
It's #ScotlandLovesLocal week & we know the benefits that come with a strong local community spirit.
At our Walk & Talk events we use local caters/hotels to provide refreshments, as well as local speakers sharing ideas with farmers & crofters to improve their wellbeing.
It’s been great to support fellow Argyll farmers Rob , Tom and Brian from Isle of Coll that did ‘all roads lead to Rome’ for @doddie_aid , We’re also all volunteer firefighters for Scottish fire and Rescue service in our respective #Argyll communities #SFRS @Scotfire_EWDAB
Thank you to David Colthart at Appin Hydro who donated £1 for every mile Rob’s team cycled from Oban to Rome - that’s £1812!
David met some of the team at @ObanLorneRFC’s fundraising dinner and wanted to support his fellow Argyll farmers and volunteer firefighters! 💙💛
@cjtaylor92@NuffieldFarming Throughly enjoying following your posts from your travels , it helps understand farming perspectives from all the different parts of the world
@scottishfarmer Pity they didn’t feel the same (about raising farming payment rates) and about the farming folk that currently feed the county . Never mind, there will only be woodchips to eat in 40 years time ….and no farmers or crofters left 🥲
