This is the current lineup to get on a ferry to the Toronto Islands. It extends out of the ferry terminal and around the block.
It's time to build the bridge!
Thank you @BonnieCrombie for welcoming me with open arms into the Ontario Liberal Party.
You worked so hard and it inspired us to match your energy and grit.
I respect your decision to step down as Party Leader and sincerely thank you for your years of public service.
Tune in to the radio tomorrow @gregbradyx at 8:35am tomorrow to hear me discuss this decision which combines two of my favourite things: Toronto bike lanes and constitutional law.
Look how glorious the new Biidaasige Park is!
Imagine if we connected this bike path further along the Portlands and built the pedestrian cycling bridge to the Toronto Islands.
It's time to build the bridge!
This stunning @globeandmail photo essay documenting the restoration of the Don River mouth tells us something profound about who we are as a city:
1. Citizen activism matters. The citizen-led Task Force to Bring Back the Don worked tirelessly for over 30 years to keep the vision alive, hold politicians accountable, and demand the highest standards of environmental stewardship.
2. We’re capable of doing extraordinary things when we take the long view and commit to the hard work. This area was once a contaminated, degraded landscape. Decades of studies imagined the path forward, but as these images show, there was no substitute for patient, hands-on restoration.
3. This is the kind of work that calls on the best in us. Projects like this don’t happen without deep collaboration, technical excellence, and long-term commitment across many disciplines. They challenge us to rise to the occasion and to contribute our skills toward something lasting, something bigger than ourselves. Few undertakings are more worthy of our highest efforts.
As PM Carney launches a next generation of infrastructure projects, I hope this serves as proof that when we aim high and stay the course, we can build cities and a country worthy of the next generation.

Toronto needs more dedicated transit lanes to move more people. Toronto Region Board of Trade just endorsed both Bathurst & Dufferin #RapidTO lanes up to Eglinton
Their message? These lanes are good for business because they are proven to reduce congestion
We need these lanes!
WE. ARE. SPEECHLESS. 🤯
You absolutely smashed it, Toronto! This June, you took over 980,000 rides, making it our biggest month EVER.
That's not just a new record—it's over 70,000 more rides than our last one!
The 1 million ride month is right around the corner. Let's make it happen in July!
#BikeShareTO #Toronto
According to the consultation reports, transit lanes on both Dufferin and Bathurst have overwhelming support. However the city has decided to water down the plans to appease the small minority who insist on clogging up transit for parking
Live Nation is covering the costs for free TTC and GO Transit rides home for all concertgoers at Rogers Stadium this summer.
I applaud this so much!
Let's do this for more events. Surely Rogers & MLSE can cover the costs for Jays, Raptors & Leafs fans to ride home for free!
Kudos to @BikeShareTO for being so quick to apapt to feedback.
Last week I emailed to say we needed more staff at this morning valet station because of long lines for a docking station.
Today there's 2 extra staff and zero line.
#BikeTO
We're supporting Do West Fest with a Bike Share Toronto valet station at Dundas St W & Crawford (Trinity Bellwoods)!
📍 Staff supported unlimited docking all weekend:
🕕 Fri: 6–11 PM
🕚 Sat: 11 AM–11 PM
🕕 Sun: 11 AM–6 PM
Come for the convenience, stay for the street vibes! 🌞🎶 #DuWestFest @LPTbia
@JohnLorinc "the real question isn’t actually technical, but rather one about principle: are we going to be a city that continues to toll and restrict access to our most “beloved” public space? " 👏👏👏
Hallelujah! Toronto City Council voted to create a task force to study options for a fixed link (including a bridge) to the Toronto Islands!
I'm so proud that I've been advocating for this for nearly 3 years and the idea is so popular that City Council can't ignore it.
Anyway. All motions on the Toronto Islands access item CARRY via show of hands. Item as amended is ADOPTED 21-2.
An Island Access Task Force will be convened, with a report back in Q1 2027.
I'm convinced Ford drives from Etobicoke to Queen's Park, gets annoyed about bike lanes, then introduces laws based on his commute instead of actual data.
Ford is obsessed with removing bike lanes specifically if they are on his commute to work.
How about our Premier tries biking to work or taking the TTC for once!
#BREAKING - The Ford government will target more bike lanes for removal. Sources tell 680 NewsRadio that the government intends to remove bike lanes on Queens Park Crescent & Avenue Road. Will be tomorrow’s budget. @robertbenzie first to report.
We're one step closer to building a bridge to the Toronto Islands!
I spoke at the Executive Committee today to advocate for the bridge. The committee voted to create a task force to accelerate Island access, including a fixed link (!)
It goes to City Council next week.
MAJOR TORONTO CITY COUNCIL CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCEMENT:
I am advocating for a pedestrian cycling lift bridge to the Toronto Islands! All Torontonians deserve to access our ward’s largest public park for free.
It's practical. It's possible. It's a priority.

Wow - Toronto euthanized the 2 coyotes responsible for the attacks in Liberty Village and Fort York.
What a complete 180 from days ago!

Toronto's new "Coyote Hotspot" signage:
"I am your coyote neighbour".
This is absurd.
Coyotes killed 5 local dogs + injured several people.
We don't want to meet our coyote neighbour. We want the city and province to remove the coyotes from the neighbourhood.
