I grew up resenting my aunt for being well-off but not helping us financially.
When I started working, I promised myself I’d be a better version of her. I helped siblings, nieces, nephews, family — whoever needed it.
Then Black Tax had me in a chokehold, and eventually debt started catching up with me.
That’s when I learned to set boundaries.
I finally understood that I don’t owe anyone financial support simply because we’re family. And, most importantly, I stopped feeling guilty about it.
Funny how adulthood teaches you to understand the people you once judged.
I didn't realize how traumatic growing up with siblings was until I got around an only child. She was frying chicken and I stole one and started running off, she looked at me with so much confusion and said 'you don't have to run you can have some' like wf?????

Did he need to hit any of these women? No.
Was it justified? No.
Should men hit women? No.
Did it still happen? Yes.
That’s why women should never get in men’s faces or raise their hands to them.
Ok. I can’t believe this just happened. My kid is sitting in a beach chair with his hand casually in the sand, & suddenly goes “oh my god look.” He pulls up a girls wedding band. It says “April 16, 2016 I love you.” This was gone FOREVER until now. Seagrove, Fla…Find this lady!
⚠️ In 2007, a British woman named Lowri Denman traveled to India for a 3 month trip.
She stuck to a vegetarian diet to avoid food poisoning and the famous “Delhi Belly”
However, years later, she passed a 1-meter tapeworm after suddenly needing the bathroom.
After that came brutal seizures.
Scans revealed she had 38 parasites lodged in her brain.
This caused years of headaches, psychosis, and psychiatric hospitalization.
After a decade-long battle with
neurocysticercosis, she finally recovered, and is now raising awareness.
A terrifying real-life nightmare.
