Ibn H. al-Haytami brings the example from al-Shafi'i on ta'zir being given to a Hanafi who drinks nabidh wherein the judge does not follow the Hanafi view (بعقيدة الحاكم لا الخصم).
Someone quoted Ibn H. alHaytami's book on there being no ta'zir (though differed upon) on matters mukhtalaf fihi upon the individual. Same para, Ibn Hajar, actually believes that this does not prevent ta'zir. If we only could stop half quoting books & not rely on AI for posts
Ibn Balbān (d. 1083) in his Mukhtaṣar al-Ifādāt already answers regarding attending a wedding feast which features questionable or impermissible elements.
One of the trends you see constantly in Ghamidi thought is they trying to use logic and rationale to approach the furu but constantly fail where even the awaam have to corner them to give a straight answer. When they finally cave, you can see their entire methodology is batil.
I've had quite a few draft an agreement using AI to protect both buyer and seller under عقد بيع بالتقسيط for automobiles and have me verify the terms to be in line with fiqh. This increases our trust and unity in the ummah. We need to start dealing with each other directly.

I am deeply troubled by the fact that if someone wants to take a financial equity loss on their mortgage, by fearing for riba (finally..) the people closest to them by lineage are the ones giving them mental torture.
Ibn Kathir mentions in his Bidayah different incidents that were called Hilf al-Fudul and concludes that Quraysh called it that (for) to uphold that no one faced injustice in Makkah, resident or visitor.
It would be interesting to see some research done into how Nadwa approaches its alumni who have problematic views in the Sunni paradigm vs how Deoband and Saharanpur amongst others have approached their alumni.
Today, I am a guest teacher for a local Masjid's classes on Hanafi madhhab (they have done 21 lessons so far and each span 70-80 mins each). Shows the imp. of learning with your local mashayikh. Anyway, I am doing an intro to Shurunbulali & Cairo:
One of the punishments of trying to get out of riba is that it eats your mental peace alive from inside out. Anyone sincerely trying to get away from riba, moisten your tongue with dhikr, Quran and especially salawat. Sitting standing talking. That is your only refuge in this war
Here is Mufti Tariq Masood of Jami’ah Rashid who highlights the importance of asking, having the right to ask (wujub in our times) and those who are wanting people’s monies for fundraising to disclose the financial aspects if they’re making it a side hustle.
Adults who make fun or expose the private chats of their parents with them (i.e the adult is their kid) should be scolded for such ‘uqūq and not that an aalim lower himself to their level and make tiktoks in false hopes to reach out to them.
Jassas on analogy of a man being coerced to do zina vs when he is forced to utter words of disbelief; in former, arousal defeats coercion acc. to him. (Ahkam al-Qur’an; 3/337, DKI)
