@MaxPaxCat It sounds like you feel predatory lawsuits (where the plaintiff manufacturers harm) are the same as lawsuits which pursue remedies for illegal behavior. Do you feel that way about all discrimination lawsuits, or just ones from women?
@HLRacicot@Unseen_Archive I think the conundrum the admin faces is the possibility that one or more Regents would seek to punish the entire university over one professor’s statement.
Angry Regents shouldn’t be a threat to the health & well-being of the institution. But . . . that’s how it seems to be
@CyberneticNewt What if it’s not the use of the word but the lumping together of an entire race and making decisions about each member’s worth without considering anything but skin color. She could’ve had the same rant and used a neutral term for them, and it would still be a massive problem
