@CrushedSounds@TheTNHoller@Timodc I don’t think he’s saying that exactly. Gaza is definitely in a worse position today than they were before, but a genocide was still happening and supported by the American government. When neither candidate vows to stop the genocide of my people, I’d have a hard time voting too
@MRDuLock@JaMoneyCash24@EoinHiggins_ Okay? Women weren’t given guns either, but served in the war effort as nurses and field ops. Chaplains can’t carry weapons, but that doesn’t make them any less a part of the military. Carrying a gun isn’t the sole marker or classifier of military service.
@MRDuLock@JaMoneyCash24@EoinHiggins_ And because no one ever likes to share sources, here’s an article (of many) that demonstrate this: https://t.co/qGVan6F0lg
@MRDuLock@JaMoneyCash24@EoinHiggins_ Black people fought and served on both sides of the war. Many free black people in the North joined because they had a very vested interest in seeing slavery end, and slaves in the south would routinely be pressed into service, though not always on the front lines.
Prolly finally gonna let this account go; Elon has ruined this platform for me. 😭
