No longer active on X/Twitter. I use Bluesky & Mastodon now. OpenStreetMap contributor (Paul The Archivist), CAMRA member, leaflet collector, and archivist.
I've also added the 1006 photos that I took while out mapping to @internetarchive at https://t.co/8GX8jJVzhW. There are now over 10,000 of my photos there (https://t.co/ILLCWO5oEq), which will hopefully provide a useful historical record of the places I've visited.
I've done a lot of mapping in and around Northfleet, Kent recently in @openstreetmap - see https://t.co/kAG0KSQUsC. Improvements include 3D mapping of several buildings using Simple 3D Buildings tags (https://t.co/5UHmUX9N3t) - see https://t.co/ablajhiiDB.
@TfL@Se_Railway Hi, there seem to be problems using the Southeastern Key card at barriers at Canary Wharf Eliz. Line in last two days. My colleague also affected so not just my card. Station staff say others have had problems. Can you investigate please
You can find out more about OpenHistoricalMap on the wiki here https://t.co/APsW6TejHH and the Derby mapping here https://t.co/8mJxuIZNCj. I've also been doing historical mapping of London, Gloucester and Eastbourne.
I've been mapping the history of Derby in OpenHistoricalMap @OpenHistMap https://t.co/XXMSGqLU5g. Use the time slider to go back and forth through time! It's very far from complete yet, but I think it's a good start!
They asked for ‘a debate’; 90% of submissions in that debate said it was a bad idea. But still they go ahead. Why do they want to make the UK’s great TV industry worse? Why? It makes no business, economic or even patriotic sense. https://t.co/aokG0yZPlm
The proposed privatisation of Channel 4 is disgraceful and would destroy a national cultural asset. It must be stopped. There is no benefit to this, it costs nothing to the taxpayer to run. No company taking it over would make the same investment in producing new programmes.
Welcome to the new Twitter account of West London Branch of CAMRA! Our branch covers the areas of Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, and the City of Westminster. We'll use this account to keep you up-to-date with news and events from our branch and local pubs.
Just a reminder to those travelling back into the office today—it’s still mandatory to wear a mask on all TfL services unless you’re exempt.
If you’re using public transport, respect the rules. Wear your mask.
Big News. We've just digitised and uploaded all of our approved packaging collection and packaging images. Happy Friday everyone.

Bexleyheath town centre (Broadway) and railway station area is now mapped in detail in @openstreetmap@OSMLondon see https://t.co/nuklsnlI5Y. Includes 3D mapping of buildings eg https://t.co/314iAimrXa and https://t.co/Zd5dY07CE3.
It's a humble start, but we crossed 20K changesets 🥳🎉🍾🗺️, which feels pretty good!
Thanks to OHM user Rioscac for the continuing hard work mapping Hong Kong's history & to all our users.
Alrighty, enough self-praise. Back to work everybody. 😉

@GarethWild You could go one step further and map all the spaces in @openstreetmap - like I did here https://t.co/EtOl9XMyd0 and here https://t.co/Evz2vlzjyD !
@TimW39@openstreetmap@osmuk Thanks! It took a while, don't know how long as I did bits and pieces at different times, perhaps equivalent to about two working days (very rough guess) - certainly longer than it took to photograph the town!
My latest super-detailed mapping for @openstreetmap@osmuk has been in Hertford https://t.co/OR79IqsURs, with 3D buildings see https://t.co/f0IWmT9Vx0 or https://t.co/0ZlHO5Ym8k. (NB: mapped using pre-pandemic photo survey).
@byekitty@mentionthewar I've tested it in Word but haven't actually imported anything using this method, but I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work. Obviously test it out with just a small number of records first so you can delete them if it fails, before doing a major import.
@byekitty@mentionthewar ... 'find what' box, and leave the replace with box blank. Then click replace all. 3. Then do a 2nd find & replace; find -FieldName^p-NextFieldName. 'NextFieldName' should be whatever the name of the field is which follows your first field and again replace with should be blank.
