Presented my MSc research at the @RoyalFreeNHS R&D Symposium, where the poster was awarded🥇
The focus was representation of racialised communities in clinical trials.
Inclusion is not a gesture. It is a performance standard.
Equity in healthcare requires equity in evidence.
Two years as a founder taught me this.
Clinical research doesn’t fail from lack of vision.
It fails when protocols ignore patient pathways, workforce limits, and clinic reality.
Delivery truth matters more than ambition.
I shared this from the Orizzonte page because the message matters.
Good health, time with loved ones, and space to reset are not soft values. They are prerequisites for sustainable care delivery and for research teams who are already carrying pressure into the new year.
I’ve been to many investigators meetings, but last week in Milan felt different. Two @orizzonte_uk sites were there, and I was on the founder side of the table.
Perspective shifts with ownership.
When you stepped into a new role, what came into focus that you couldn’t see before?
Returned to Milan and reconnected with Andrea, a friend from my fashion years.
We chose different careers, but the bond never moved.
Funny how a city can take you back to the version of yourself that started it all.
Proud moment for us. Our first Orizzonte investigator meeting in Milan brought together research colleagues from Europe and America. Energising collaboration that will support more accessible, patient-centred respiratory research across our GP network.
#ClinicalResearch#Health
The Orizzonte team is in Milan for a European investigator meeting, strengthening collaboration across the research community.
As a UK SMO in primary care, we’re committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred research in the respiratory therapeutic area.
Clinical trials fail more from role confusion than weak science.
Here’s the simplest structure I use:
Sponsor = legal responsibility + governance
CTU/CRO = design + ops oversight
SMO = site coordination + recruitment
Sites = visits + PI oversight
Clarity accelerates innovation.
Clinical research doesn’t have a tech problem.
It has a trust and access problem.
More than half of failed trials cite recruitment issues, not digital gaps.
People join studies when the process fits their real lives.
Tech should enable that, not replace it.
Increasing awareness, early support, and access to research can genuinely change future care.
A meaningful topic this month and an important reminder of why this work matters. 💙
#Diabetes affects millions in the UK, with foot ulcers impacting 1 in 4 people living with the condition.
At Orizzonte Clinical Research, we embed trials in GP practices to improve access, diversity, and early identification.

From bedside to boardroom, empathy hasn’t faded - it’s evolved.
At the bedside, it drives care. In research and leadership, it shapes the systems that make care possible.
Empathy isn’t a soft skill. It’s a strategic one.

@EricTopol@DanielJDrucker@jclinicalinvest Exciting potential. The anti-inflammatory effects of GLP-1s could transform care across multiple diseases. It’ll be vital that upcoming trials stay diverse and community-based so we truly understand who benefits most.
The leader I needed when I first started - that’s who I try to be now.
#Leadership in research isn’t about managing studies - it’s about lifting people.
We all remember the person who made us feel capable. The best way to thank them is to become that person for someone else. 💙
🎗️ October is #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth
At @orizzonte_uk , we’re making breast cancer trials more accessible - by bringing them into trusted GP practices.
Community-led, specialist-backed.
Real patients. Real research. Real impact.
