तमाम अधिकारियों की पत्नियों को एक शानदार कार्यक्रम के बीच इतनी साधारण महिला की उपस्थिति कुछ खल रही थी, कुछ ने उनके पास जाकर उनका परिचय चाहा, तो उस महिला ने सहज भाव से कहा - मेरे पति यहाँ काम करते है।

अधिकारियों की महिलाओं का शक यकीन में बदलने लगा जरूर किसी छोटे कर्मचारी की पत्नी यहाँ आकर इस शानदार कार्यक्रम की शोभा खत्म कर रही है ।

एक महिला ने थोड़ा रोब झाड़ते हुवे कहा साफ साफ बताओ तुम्हारे पति किस पद पर कार्य करते है ?

महिला पुनः सहज भाव से बोली जी वें प्रधानमंत्री के पद पर कार्य करते है इस जवाब के बाद उस महिला की थाली में खत्म हुई रोटी लाने के लिए तमाम अधिकारियों की पत्नियों में होड़ मच गई किन्तु श्रीमती मनमोहन सिंह उन्हें धन्यवाद देते हुवे स्वयं अपना खाना लेने चल दी।

Dear Mr. @pushkardhami, much as I don't like to tag you, I am left with no other option but to bring this to your notice as the Chief Minister of our state of #Uttarakhand. I am dismayed to listen to the unsavoury reputation we have carved out for ourselves as a state and region that is in a tearing hurry to cut its trees and indulge in massive deforestation. In this tweet, I share what the very widely respected and knowledgable Mr. @PeepalBaba has to say about our state. He laments the ongoing brutal saga underway in #Hyderabad and exhorts the Telangana Chief Minister Mr. @revanth_anumula to reconsider his decision. At one point in this brief video, between the 31st and 35th second, Peepal Baba mentions Uttarakhand and the rapid deforestation taking place here. I personally believe it is a major disappointment and a shame that we; who come from the pristine land of the Himalayas, the Char Dhams, and Mother Ganga, are now being referred to nationally in such a manner. I genuinely hope that you will take my message in the right spirit and reflect on its contents. Though this feedback may seem critical, the lived reality is quite similar to what Peepal Baba has described, which is also echoed by hundreds of citizens who are deeply concerned about the rapidly dwindling greenery in Uttarakhand. I sincerely hope that my message reaches you and that it leads to some form of course correction at the macro, policy level.

Grateful to @timesofindia for widely amplifying the funeral procession for fallen trees in #Dehradun this past Sunday, March 30. Dressed in white, many gathered & participated in the funeral mourning the thousands of trees that have been felled in the #DoonValley & #Uttarakhand for "development" in recent years. Mourners carried a bier made of dead branches from the "tree graveyard" next to the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in the outskirts of the city. Walking towards the Secretariat; the mood was sombre & crestfallen. Participants expressed sorrow & shared their concerns while speaking at the closure of the funeral program. The young spoke passionately & were most concerned; staring at an uncertain "green less future" in the midst of the dark clouds of "climate crisis & global/local warming" confronting us all. There was also resolve & hope that more citizens would join the good fight; securing a safer present & future for themselves & for future generations!
